This is a titan of a book but really enjoyable. How are you liking it so far?
Read the original back in 1982 and wore it out over the years. This is the “complete & uncut” updated version. Really liking the small additives. Gives the individual character backgrounds more depth.
Thats very interesting. What type of stuff is added?
I find the more detailed back-stories for Larry and Frannie make them more real. I’m a slow-burn reader, so build-ups for characters are fine with me. King’s reason for the expanded version are laudable. Read the last chapter of his Danse Macabre. His method for writing The Stand is pretty inspiring (if you’re interested in stuff like that).
