You’re absolutely right – the impact has been severe and heartbreaking to watch across the industry, and it’s affected everyone in different, but equally difficult ways.

I also feel that for many independent authors the situation has been especially challenging, simply because our voices already have further to carry and the pandemic has made visibility, connection with readers, and income even harder to sustain.

I really appreciate you opening up this conversation. Sharing experiences is one of the few things that genuinely helps us feel less alone while we continue to navigate our writing journey in such uncertain times.
