Lauren Lovely review, Donna! I'm glad this book was better than the last book in the series.

Donna (Currently Busy) Thank you, Lauren. Have you read Texas Legacy? I finished it yesterday for square #9 but haven't written a review for it yet.

Gloria I’ll circle back to your review just as soon as I read it, Donna! It’s next after the one I’m currently reading.

Lauren I've heard great things about this series, but I hate Westerns. I never enjoy them and avoid them like the plague. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed this series!

Donna (Currently Busy) Lauren, I've enjoyed this series. But I love westerns and definitely understand and respect readers who don't. There are genres I also avoid like the plague, like anything science fictiony or ghosts returning to haunt their former residences.

Donna (Currently Busy) I hope you enjoy it, Gloria. Looking forward to your review.

Merry Great review. I haven't tried any of her westerns. May not start with this one lol

Anna The Hero on the book's cover is exceptionally good looking!!!
The story is interesting along with your review, Donna!!!

Irina Good review, Donna. I liked it better than you did (despite Becky 😡), but that was also because of the series' plotting and how the threads came together.

Are you planning to read Rawley's story?

Donna (Currently Busy) Thank you, Merry and Anna. And no, Merry, don't start with this one. I would start with Texas Destiny. I look forward to reading your review should you decide to read it.

Anna, thank you for your kind words. And yes, the male cover art reminded me of a young Clint Eastwood.🥰

Donna (Currently Busy) Thank you, Irina. I really need to read your review of this one! I'm glad you enjoyed this book (despite what Becky did.) Another reason I rated this only three stars was because I wanted more closure on Duncan McQueen. He caused so many problems for Austin and suffered no consequences for his actions - in this book or the prior one.

And yes, I've finished Rawley's story and will post my review tonight.

Quick question, what did you think of old man McQueen telling Cameron about what he did to his biological father?

Judy Hannigan I loved this trilogy. Book 1 was my favorite.

Donna (Currently Busy) Thank you, Judy. Book one was my favorite also.

Donna, yes he does look like a young Clint Eastwood!!!!!

Gloria I’d file the entire last quarter of the book under that “unbelievable” heading. Wonderful review, Donna, and I ended up rating it the same as you.

Donna (Currently Busy) Thank you, Gloria. Maybe it's just me, but I thought the author made it way too easy for the reader to figure out who killed Boyd McQueen. (Your text was spot on, but I couldn't bring myself to reply "how right you are!")
