Yes, both books are wonderful and should be read one after the other, as you did.

Kevin, I apologize for the lag time in responding - many of my notifications didn't come through last week.
For the record, I love your review - better than mine! :)
Kevin, what a splendid review! You can't ignore a book that blows kisses after all. ;-) This sounds like a wonderful read. I'm glad you loved it.
Kimber wrote: "Kevin, what a splendid review! You can't ignore a book that blows kisses after all. ;-) This sounds like a wonderful read. I'm glad you loved it."
Thanks, Kimber! It is a book that has to be read in conjunction with The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry though.

Mine sometimes turn their backs on me and say 'talk to the hand' 'cause the face ain't listening. : D
Excellent review Kevin! I adored Harold Fry. I read it about 5 years ago and it has stayed with me as one of the most memorable books I’ve read. I have not read this one though. I think I was afraid I would be disappointed after loving Harold so much. I’m going to have to pick this one up now. 😊

Thanks, Heather.
They're more lightweight than my usual reads, but both books touched me.
Very nice review, Kevin! I need to have a sit-down with my books about why they don't blow me kisses.

Thank you so much, Marialyce!
This, and its companion book, are not the type of books I'd usually gravitate towards, but I became invested in the couple's rather moving tale of unrequited love.
I read Harold last year too. I warmed to his insistence on his pilgrimage and wound up loving him. Your wonderful review reminds me to get to Queenie’s story soon! Thanks Kevin!
