In case you missed the intro post I made earlier, I'm new here. This is my first group and my first group post, so hopefully, I'm not screwing it up. But if I am doing it wrong, and this should be under a specific thread or something like that, please let me know and I'll get it right next time. Otherwise, I invite you to check out my review of Jordan Harper's The Last King of California, a book I absolutely loved. In fact, I was surprised at how much I connected with this book. That's obviously never a bad thing, but if you liked it too, or didn't like it at all, or if it's on your to-read list and you just haven't gotten to it yet, feel free to check it out and share your thoughts on the book.

when I saw the title, for some reason I thought of Joshua Abraham Norton , sometimes called The Emperor of San Francisco. I think I read about him in a Christopher Moore novel.

I believe the Emperor is a supporting character in either A Dirty Job or Secondhand Souls, or maybe both. Been a while since I read them, but that's a great series. Well, two books. I guess that counts as a series.
