Why do you like historical fiction stories? What don't you like about historical fiction books?
I have written three so far, the titles begin with Clash of Cultures, First in Series and so on. (The one selected it the Second in the series.) Amazon won't let me change the title. (I'm assuming I'd have to cancel the publication and resubmit with new title and ISBN.)
The subtitle originally was The Legend of Henson Wiseman and the Dakota Chiefs. - The Coming Storm.( The first book covers the notification of the MC on the White European side of the story, of what happened to his family while he was away in the US Army Cavalry. The first book takes you to the beginning of his journey home after getting word of the fate of his family.
The other side covers the lead up to why the Dakota felt it necessary to fight back against the corruption that was being used to exterminate their people. (This is not a documentary, but a novel where you get to meet these people and get to know them.) The first book in the series takes you to the moment the Dakota decide to rebel.
Sub plots are used to connect known facts potential other theories. (One sub plot is of a forbidden romance)
