Well now I'm very intrigued. I randomly heard about Charlotte Mew for the first time a few days ago while watching a series on the National Portrait Gallery. They have a wonderful watercolor portrait of her featured in a grouping of WWI poets and I went down the google rabbit hole.

Omg, it's such a rabbit hole! Especially because - and I think this is important to the role Charlotte Mew plays thematically in The Poet - it feels like until fairly recently what little attention to paid to her was because of her link to Hardy and/or her tragic death. Very little to Mew as an author.
"finding your own capacity for audacity, when privilege is basically just audacity normalised" is a lovely turn of phrase I'd like to carry around with me for a while, thank you!
