When I look it up by title without "the," it appears at the top of the second page of results. Rather than an exact title search, the algorithm is probably treating the title as keywords. If there are more issues with searching, you will need to contact Support, as we have no insight into website issues.
I have corrected the typo!
It comes up on top if you include the author's last name. Sometimes when words are common in titles you need to add a little more.

My book, The Black Cat Detectives, does not come up in the first page of results if I search "Black Cat Detectives" and comes up at the bottom if I add "the" at the start. However, it comes up first if I search The Black Cat Detectivs.
Is it possible that there's a mistake in the search terms that were typed in when it was entered? If so, is there a way to resolve that?
There is also a typo in the first line of the book description. It reads, "A charming cozy mystery with a delightful the detectives are three kittens with magical powers, determined to solve a most purr-plexing case." It is meant to read, "A charming cozy mystery with a delightful twist: The detectives are three kittens with magical powers, determined to solve a most purr-plexing case."
Thank you so much for your help and for everything you do for the Goodreads community!!
Warmly,
