Hey guys, a few years ago, I traded in my military boots for a pen, yeah, probably not the switch anyone expected, least of all me.

After years of serving, adapting back to “normal” life wasn’t easy, and writing became my lifeline.

So, I’m here to share stories, talk books, and maybe even inspire someone else to chase that itch they can’t ignore. Peace.

J. Scott Frampton Greetings Andoni! Sounds like you have a good plan. I am ready to purchase your first published book…so you have that as some motivation…

Thank you so much for the encouragement! 🙏 I can’t tell you how much it means to have your support on this journey. The book officially launches on October 14, but the exciting news is you can already check it out and pre-order your copy on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Running-Gods-A...

It would mean the world to me if you were among the very first readers when it goes live.

Charles Cordell I left the British Army five years ago - after 35 years of service. Writing is now my life. I am now a full-time author.

I probably should have got myself a 'proper' job'. It would have been more sensible. However, I think writing has saved me. There are so many veterans that are still struggling after service.

My writing gives me purpose and fulfilment. I am hugely grateful for the support and feedback I have received. I feel very lucky.

I now write historical fiction. I still can't bring myself to write about my own personal experiences or modern conflict. Perhaps one day I will be ready to do that. But that day, still feels distant.

In the meantime, I write about historical fiction set during the English Civil War. Thankfully, many readers tell me that my books feel very relevant today. I could not ask for more.

If it is of any interest, I have written a couple of blog post articles on my 'journey' to becoming a published author. This is the first:

I would be really interested to know what others think. I hope it may be of help to some.

In the meantime, keep reading and keep writing, and - all the very best for 2026.
