Thanks for the review. Startide Rising is one of my favourites, I think mostly because I read it when I was just getting into SF and I found the uplift concept pretty mind-blowing.
I always enjoy your podcasts. I read Brin's uplift series long ago as I would read an epic fantasy trilogy, enjoying the escape into its deep worldbuilding.
I wanted to bring to your attention a couple of books from the 70's that I consider seminal SF: Ringworld by Larry Niven and Titan by John Varley (Gaea Trilogy). I'd be curious what you have to say about them.
