Hi everyone! I need advice about a kid who's in one of my classes. Basically, he's a grade above me, and I share a study hall with him. I've never talked to him, but he's super cute, and I'd like to. My friend and I sit kind of far away from him, and I think it might be weird if we tried to move closer to him. Also, the semester is about to end, and I doubt I'll have any classes with him next semester. The quarter ends in early January, and then we'll be switching classes, so I'm worried that I'm going to miss my chance. This Friday is our last day before winter break, and I would like to talk with him then, but idk. Any ideas or tips on how to get his attention or talk with him?

i mean, do you guys have any common like hobbies or interests you could ask about? or homework?

Ok, I’m prolly the worst person to give you advice, cause I’ve had a crush on the same guy for 7 years and barely talk to him. But anyway! What I do tho is play a game like a sport or something like that and get on his team. Then maybe you’ll get a chance to talk to him. Or you know if you’re braver than I am (odds are you are) then just go up and talk to him. Again my advice isn’t exactly solid, but oh well.

Go over and ask for help in classwork or homework!!!

@Eclipse He's in the grade above me, and I know that he takes honors classes, so we wouldn't have the same work. I could try asking what class he's working on? But I still don't sit near him, soooo...

babee, just try to sit next or near to him and when you guys make an eye contact, try to smile!! and if he find u attractive, it will leave some impression! sometimes u just need to find the courage to be brave, i mean what can you lose right? idk how is it in your place, but here smiling to strangers pretty normall.
orrr if you braveee enough, just try to give him a sticky note and tell him that u find him interesting and would like to get to know him better, don’t forget to leave ur personal contact.

Omg Bella I totally get you!! Honestly, just go for something super chill so it doesn’t feel awkward. Like if you see him working on something, you could be like “What class is that? Looks intense lol” or even ask for a random tip like “How do you stay so focused? I’m always zoning out in study hall 😭.” It’s low-key and gives him a chance to talk.
Also, eye contact + a smile is such a game-changer. Even if you don’t move seats, just catching his eye and smiling can make you seem super approachable. If you’re feeling bold, you could write a cute sticky note with your Snap or Insta and just leave it—like mysterious but fun 👀.
Worst case? He’s nice and you make a new friend. Best case? You shoot your shot and something happens. Either way, you’ll feel so much better knowing you tried. Good luck girl, you got this!! 💕✨

my advice would have been, catch eye and linger a few seconds longer than normal, don't turn away too quick, and of he looks interested, smile, then walk away, leaving him wanting more.

There is something jolting about a look that stays longer...
