I felt similarly! It all somehow came together, but in a way that sort of irritated me while I was reading it. & there could definitely have been more character depth. But overall, enjoyable!

Yes, it's fascinating how something that was frustrating me came together in a way I found sincerely moving. I know you said in your review that you probably wouldn't remember the book in a handful of weeks but it's lingered for me.
