I know authors aren't supposed to engage, but I just wanted to say those comps made my day. Two of my favorite books ever!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I agree the ending could have been better--it's a great regret of mine. There was definitely meant to be a sequel, it's all mapped out, but the publisher doesn't want it and refuses at the same time to relinquish the rights so I can try to place it elsewhere. I never imagined such a scenario was possible, but here we are. Thanks again for the feedback :)

Hi Patricia! Thank you so much for commenting, I’m glad you did! I genuinely love your writing, so this was a wonderful surprise to see a comment from you. It made my day. If circumstances ever changed and you were able to publish that sequel, I’d be first in line to read it!

I also read and loved The Cherished! I’ve been recommending it to my teen creative writing students. And I’ve got a copy of Mercy sitting on my desk right now, waiting to be read, which I’m very much looking forward to! Thanks for writing such great books!
