I have to picture books listed that I only self-published and printed a few hundred for local festival sales and such. They sold so well that a legitimate PB agent has advised me to remove all internet presence of them so they can be properly rep'd and traditionally published. They are not for sale on Amazon or anywhere. This Goodreads post that has no reviews or anything (because the books weren't ever made available to the masses,) is the one place stopping me from pursuing representation.

While I know it's not common, can we remove these personal hobby books of mine? They really never should've made it into this site.

Goodreads doesn't delete valid books, as users like to shelve the ones they own. Someone who bought one may add it to their shelf at some point. They were imported to Goodreads by Amazon.

So, one "someone" who bought a hobby book at a festival could potentially kill my chances of selling an entire series of picture books! Can we at least remove the cover art?

Goodreads is a book cataloging site, not a sales site. As answered in Message 2, Goodreads doesn't delete valid books - nor valid book covers.

All legal questions need to be discussed with Support. Librarians are volunteers who are required to follow Goodreads policy. We cannot address legal issues.
