I made it about halfway through and found it kind of dull, which is never a word I really use with Herzog. I guess I will finish it one day.
I'm all for non-linear approaches to autobiography and memoir, but Herzog is prone to tangents that widely vary in quality. He's also just a weird dude. He'll say something like "I don't have many friends," then write for ten pages about all the friends he has. Some of it is really interesting, but much of it is humblebragging from a brilliant autodidact who doubles as a filmmaking daredevil.
