I have been wondering, who is the Duke of Strathdon’s heir? I know he had/has three daughters: Arabella, Marjorie and Frances. Does he have a son? If not, with Arabella being the oldest daughter, wouldn’t that make Malcolm his heir? Just curious.

Good question! If it was an English title, it would have to pass through the male line and would go to Strahdon's brother or uncle's son or their descendants. But since it's a Scottish title it could go through the female line and pass to Malcolm. I confess I hadn't thought that through when I started the series. I'm not sure I want Malcolm to become a duke, so I've deliberately not addressed it in the series so far.
