I hate that GR doesn't have a built-in DNF thing. I ended up creating a bookshelf with the "exclusive" tag so that it goes there instead of on the "Read" shelf. I also include the "date finished" for the day I DNF'd it. It works out well for me, and still counts towards my reading goals with the date!

This is smart! I will adapt something like this for 2026 I think.
