Every change GR has made since I have been here has been for the worse.
Another great decision by GR. They're doing everything they can to make this site as functional as possible. Next stop: disabling the review comments.
It’s ridiculous. It’s becoming less and less functional. I wish Amazon understood that by creating a sense of community here they can sell more books as we readers get ideas from each other… But all I can say is that whoever is in charge of these decisions is quite shortsighted.
It was already to the point where I never know if people are commenting on any reviews. It's like they only want the book reviews and nothing else.

Amazon needs to redirect GR's meager budget for data storage and personnel (layoffs over the summer) to AI data centers. That's my guess anyway.
Don't know much about StoryGraph but I hear that it's less social and more focused on book tracking.
I hear that LibraryThing is another subsidiary of Amazon via their purchase of AbeBooks. But that's all I know.
