Well, tough day in football yesterday as my Eagles blew a 21 point lead and lost to the dreaded Cowboys. Lots of football to go but it certainly sucked. Thanksgiving week is always a fun time around the house. We bought a small Christmas tree this morning but we never put it up until after Turkey Day...tradition, I guess. What are your traditions around Thanksgiving? For me, it's giving thanks for our blessings, over-eating and football! Probably what most Americans will be doing. When I was a kid, going to Thanksgiving parades was an option as well as attending a high school football game at 10 am. Coming home around noon the house would be filled with the aroma of turkey, stuffing and baked goods. My Mom was a terrific baker so we would always have an apple pie, pumpkin pie or blueberry pie after dinner. I loved Thanksgiving because it was always a family-oriented holiday. No gifts were expected, less commercialism, just good times with family and friends. I'm a dark meat guy...you? Ok, until next time...
