Franciekat Great review. I agree with the drug policy argument of the book, but this is not new, it's harm reduction. The problem of using drugs when a person has a mental illness is huge. Especially because no one knows how many people using substances also have mental illness. How many of the people who relapse after rehabilitation have undiagnosed mental illness?

David Isn't it the same with alcohol? People with mental illness should also not be drinking? So, why isn't that legislated?

Elliott Beach You're right. How about we let the government just make everyone's decisions about what to do with their lives and how to spend their money for them. People are very irresponsible, after all.

Ashly Lorenzana I disagree. All human beings have the right to take risks with their own health and ingest whichever substances they want, for their own reasons. As long as they don't go on a shooting spree or hurt others, who are we to tell them they can't have whatever makes them feel better?
