Unfortunately I bought it and read it. A touch of Deus ex machina, bringing in the murderer right at the end...

Agree 100%. Throughout the book I kept saying I cannot believe this is John Grisham! It was so poorly written, your review actually was better than the book.
Thank-you for this. For some reason, I had it on request at the library for months. I read one chapter and didn't want to read more, but since I waited so long for it, I hated to give up. Thank-you for saving my time. I guess I can be glad I didn't actually buy this one!
