Amzette, thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing the story about Roam. We lived in Colorado until 2022 when we moved to WA, so I hadn't heard about it yet. I'm so pleased that he made it and so very sorry he was injured so badly. These police dogs are amazing. Thanks so much to listening to my books and by now, I hope you've had a chance to listen to Dying Cry. Hope you enjoy it! Wishing you all the best,
Margaret

Sadly, we just had a very devastating thing happen to one of our K-9 officer’s, this past week. Roam, the K-9, was trying to take down a suspect that was barricaded. He was stabbed many times and desperately needed surgery. When I read about it, I cried and prayed. Very fortunately, Roam was able to go home yesterday (with a long road to recovery)! His left hind leg had to be amputated as well as other injuries. It was great to see so many people standing out on the side of the road cheering for him as many police officers escorted him home from the animal hospital, here in Colorado Springs, CO. I wish that I could’ve joined them but I am mostly bedridden/housebound. You may have already read and seen the news about this. I forget if you’re from Colorado or not. There are quite a few author’s that write in your genre that live here. My memory is just incredibly poor (I’m losing it more & more due to Fibromyalgia and this False Brain Tumor that I have)! Anyway, I’m really looking forward to listening to your new book. Take care!💜
