Melissa Page Hey!! Thanks for joining our group. Share with us your favorite type of book and what you would like gain from this group? Reviews? Book Suggestions? Friends?

message 2: by Amy (new)

Amy Hey Melissa! So, honestly my favorite type of book really depends on my mood. I do enjoy angst as long as it's not too over the top and alpha's are always good :) I do also enjoy a great paranormal romance! I hope with this group I can get a lot of great book reccommendations and meet some awesome people!

message 3: by Diana (new)

Diana I agree Amy, my book selection goes by my mood too. Sometimes I wants angst, others light and fluff. I yet to venture to paranormal (except KA), but I did read my first M/M book and loved it. I like to have friends to chat books with and make suggestion because they know what you like. Buddy reads are fun too. I did a buddy read of the Undeniable series and I had fun chatting with my friend (shout out Chaddy)about it

Diana Kat wrote: "never done a buddy read before this sounds good maybe we could start one next week when kaleidoscope by kristen ashley comes out?"

I'm in :)

message 5: by Amy (new)

Amy Diana & Kat: I've never done a buddy read, but I'd be interested

message 6: by Diana (new)

Diana We just have to decide when to start reading it and then chat during the day/night, usually by private message. We have to make sure not to give too much away because I know Kat is 5 hours ahead of me (I am in New York) It should be fun, especially KA

message 7: by Diana (new)

Diana Kat wrote: "What about if I create a new topic for this book and we or anyone else who wants to read it can comment too?"

Perfect!!! That way more people can comment. Good thinking :)

message 8: by Amy (new)

Amy sounds great!

message 9: by AmyS (new)

AmyS I am with you guys, I read a little bit of everything, depending on my mood (and what I am recovering from:)). I am here for recommendations and to chat with people who understand my reading obsession:). I have never done a buddy read, and would love to participate. I am in MN (CST). I usually take KA release days off of work, but wasn't able to for Kal:( I may still pull and all-nighter, though, it has been known to happen.

SamJ ★Needs a HEA★ Hello everyone.

I like anything that has a HEA.

Although I don't like anything too angsty and anything too horrible to happen on the way to the HEA in a Contemporary read. I tend to be more forgiving in historical/fantasy/dark reads for that though.

I do not mind a series about the same couple, if they couple stays together through the books, and I know they start as a couple and end as a couple, such as J D Robb and the In Death Series, but I am over the trilogy, where nothing is resolved till the last 25% of the last book.

message 11: by Chaddy (new)

Chaddy My dear friend Diana, invited me to join you gals and I am so glad I came to check out what this new group was because how fun is this! Thanks Di!

I also love anything with an HEA. (I think RAW is the only book I have read where there wasn't a traditional HEA, but I still absolutely loved it)

I don't read much paranormal and I stay away from books with cheating in them, but other than that I am good to go. My favorites books always seem to have hot, possessive alpha men and strong, non-whiney heroines :)

SamJ ★Needs a HEA★ Hey Chaddy

Oh, I do not like cheating either! I do not even like a love triangle!

Which is weird, as I can read some quite dark stuff fine, but am a wimp with what I will accept in a Contemporary Romance!

message 13: by Chaddy (new)

Chaddy Hi girls!

Kat--you should know, you can't steal Di from me. I called dibs a long time ago and dibs always trumps everything else. ;)

SamJ--I hate love triangles too. Just pick someone! Thoughtless practically sent me over the edge. I only read it to move on to the other two books and to meet Kellan Kyle. Just typing his name makes my girlie parts tingle.

message 14: by Chaddy (new)

Chaddy Well, as long as that is settled, I am happy to share! Plus, if you two are book soul mates, I know you and I will get along beautifully because Diana and I have such similar tastes, it's almost spooky. I love making new book friends!

My Goodreads BFF is here!!! I am so glad you made the jump over. The ladies are awesome here and we all seem to have the same taste in books. I am so happy you joined us.

message 16: by Diana (new)

Diana Kat wrote: "Chaddy there are no rules that day you can't be book soul mates with more than one person :)"

Ladies, there is enough Diana awesomeness (I am such a dork) to go around. Share the love. Chaddy, just don't mess with Kat and Jesse Ward. She is quite possesive.

message 17: by Chaddy (new)

Chaddy It's true, you do have awesomeness a plenty!

Oh and don't worry, I already heard about Kat's book husband. Her possessiveness seems to rival Jesse's. Not going there.

message 18: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte Hi everyone, newbie here! I can pretty much read anything if I'm in the mood! That being said I love my alphas, I'm a little bit (OK, a lot!) in love and slightly obsessed with a certain Lord of the Sex Manor! I enjoy some paranormal, though not sci-fi. I love dark and emotional reads every now and then. I'm a sucker for a HEA and enjoy a good series but I love to find one off gems such as Raw (OMG!!) I'm here to discuss great books, buddy read, look for recommendations and make friends along the way! :)

message 19: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte And I literally just saw the two previous comments...

Is this going to cause problems in our newly found friendship status, Kat? haha ;)

Diana Kat wrote: "Do you know what Charlotte? Seeing as we have only just made friends (but not in the Jesse sense) I've decided I'll share him with you because I think there's enough of him to go around. :)"

Hey Charlotte,

Welcome to the group. We have a bunch of buddy reads gettng ready to kick off within the next week or two after we all finish with Kaliedsecope. I think the first up is the Friend Zoned series.

You are right, nobody does Alpha like KA. You should give one of her series a try. Maybe start with her Dream Man Series. Mystery Man is the 1st book in that series. If you like a little mystery, try the Burg Series or Colorado Mtn Men. In fact, it doesn't matter, they all rock. Even the Fantasyland series and I do not do paranormal and I loved it. It is not over the top or wierd in any way.

message 26: by Charlotte (new)

Charlotte I know I know... I genuinely do not understand how I have not read her books before now. *hangs head in shame*

That being said I do have all (what's been released so far anyway) of her Dream Man, Colorado Mountain, Unfinished Hero and Rock Chick series. See, so I have very good intentions... :)

message 27: by Amy (new)

Diana Hey Amy, welcome. I am busy reading Kaliedescope so that I can join the buddy read for the Friend Zoned Series. Have you read them yet? If not why don't you join us.

message 33: by Bobbi (new)

Bobbi Romans Hi, I'm Bobbi Romans. I'm in N. FL but was born and raised in VA.

I write any and all. Characters tell ME what to do and not vice-versa. (Won't post links here, but I'm Goodreads)

My family is monster sized. (No, for real. It is) Even our pets are, well... different.

Rats, Crawdads, Flying squirrels, ferrets, etc. NOTE: They all FOUND us. Showed up in the yard or doorstep.

Weird side notes: I've been on a talk show and as a notary, have married two couples.

Extra side-note: you don't want me marrying you. Both couples are now divorced. *wails* (sniffle, I did the best I could)

I'm currently finishing up a project due on the 16th.

Here's a safe snippet.

"Clothes were shed and steps became stumbles as skin met skin and old bed springs screamed in protest at the sudden assault upon."

(Psst- if snippets are not approved, feel free to delete.)

:)
Bobbi
