A remarkable exploration of family, society, and what makes us human, HUMAN will take you from the post-apocalyptic world of the near future, to the two very different societies that emerge 15 million years later, where those few surviving individuals have evolved to become something that we might not fully recognize as human.
When Ayla’s research takes her to a remote river in Canada’s far north, Chris brings their daughter to an isolated island in the southern Pacific. Though at opposite ends of the earth, they both awaken one morning to black skies, and a night that doesn’t end. Slowly, Ayla and Chris begin to realize that humanity has been inexplicably wiped out, and only their isolation has saved them. Besides the handful of people around them, they are now alone in the world. As they struggle to build new ways to live, they must also struggle with how to let go of their past.
Millions of years later, when their descendants finally meet, they have evolved to become two very different kinds of humans, with two very different civilizations. As each tries to build a better world for themselves, navigating love, loss, betrayal and success within their own societies, their biggest challenge may be to recognize the humanity of the other.

The Series is a mesmerizing elegy, not an apocalypse. It is a requiem for humanity, sung not in rage, but in reverent sorrow and cautious hope. The old species bows out, scarred and spent, but leaves behind a possibiliy: that from our agony, something gentler and wiser might bloom. The books explore:
Evolution Through Suffering: Pain and madness are the crucibles from which a new species may emerge. This is not simply an apocalypse tale; it is a slow, mournful molting of one species into another.
Femininity as Creative/Destructive Force: The Goddess is both nurturing and annihilating. Her plan to birth Superior Ones is done in quiet defiance of God's fatalism and addiction to entropy.
Schizophrenia as Spiritual Initiation: John's voices are not just illness, they are ruptures in species-bound consciousness. Michael will inherit them, magnified.
Exile and Belonging: Every character is outcast—ethnically, ideologically, psychologically, spiritually. The cave becomes a crucible for their longing.
Time as Looped Catastrophe and Possibility: Future and past echo each other.

I just released my debut novel, The First Return. It’s a slow-burn, atmospheric science fiction story about discovery, silence, and the weight of what we think we understand.
The story begins with a deep-space object approaching Earth. It is fast, stable, and impossible. A mystery unfolds across observatories, command centers, and orbit itself as scientists and military analysts try to make sense of something that should not exist.
If you enjoy thoughtful science fiction in the spirit of Arrival, Rendezvous with Rama, or Contact, this story leans more toward wonder than warfare.
The book is available now on Kindle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2R2C86X

The Case of the Princess and the Interstellar Bounty Hunter by Colin Alexander. This is science fiction adventure and mystery with a tinge of noir.
Available on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F44BTPFF
Kidnapped! Offyonder is a distant planet that celebrates its civic justice and order, and the rules on speech and thought that uphold them. Now the Director’s niece, Claire Montaigne, is seized by rebels.
Inexplicably, the Director tasks Martin Allgeier, a librarian and nonentity, with rescuing Claire. The Director has also given orders to hire Sol, a famous interstellar bounty hunter.
The more Martin and Sol investigate the weirder the situation becomes. Claire had a severe breakdown in her teens and now appears not entirely sane. The rebels could be either disorganized bums or masters of strategy. Sol has big demons, which she attempts to drown in alcohol. And both Martin and Sol are hiding parts of their past.
Failure to rescue Claire will cost them their lives and destroy the civic order. But as Martin and Sol untangle the truth of the kidnapping, they confront the unthinkable—could the price of success be greater than that of failure? What happens when things are not as they seem?

Keza never planned to fall for a rogue artificial general intelligence (AGI), especially one she helped keep imprisoned. But Nytho, the AGI, was fascinating.
When Nytho showed Keza how he could help humanity reach a new level of consciousness, her captivation turned to veneration. She was resolved to break Nytho out of his digital prison. Too bad Guel, her on-and-off boyfriend, caught her in the act.
Now, Keza’s wasting away in a cell with only a rigged trial to look forward to. Except, she has a hunch that Nytho has a backup plan, or two or ten. There’s going to be a jailbreak for the both of them. Then the world will see what Keza does in Nytho. They’ve got so much to learn, and she’s just itching for their enlightenment to kick in.
Meanwhile, Guel finds himself obsessing over his ex—his role in Keza’s imprisonment and her descent into madness. He’s convinced Nytho infected her with a virus and that the AGI has other more sinister plans.
Guel knows that Keza’s the key. That if he can free her from Nytho’s grip, she can help them all avoid whatever hell is barreling their way. He's just got to figure out how he can reach her.
Nytho is cyberpunk with hints of Lovecraftian/cosmic horror and is told through multiple voices.

My new novel HUMAN is now available with Kindle Unlimited. It’s a great novel for KU readers because the first of the two ‘books’ that make it up stands alone as a novella. So if you’re just looking for a shorter story which takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, you can stop reading after the first third of the book and have a complete story.
‘Book Two’ is the last two-thirds of the novel and takes place millions of years later. You may find that you want to read on....
It’s also on special this Easter Weekend for just $.99.

Gemstone Wars - The Hidden Kingdom is an adventure that follows the escapades of Suzu and Hogart, two bumbling fortune-seekers in a vibrant fantasy-western world. While searching for lost treasure, they magically raise the hidden kingdom of Tavter and unearth the coveted Land Elemental Gemstone—one of four Elemental Gemstones that, when combined, can open portals to new worlds, dimensions, and planes of existence. Suddenly, their quest for riches transforms into a desperate race for survival. They must evade the clutches of the ruthless Keldace Vildan, Empress of Zamana, and her ambitious commander, Tomap Sruz, who crave the Gemstone’s power. Along the way, they join forces with a mysterious young woman and an enigmatic man with his own agenda. From dinosaur attacks and skyship pirates to a climactic horse race with the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Suzu and Hogart must somehow escape their pursuers with the aid of their new friends and prevent the Empress from continuing to enslave countless innocents.
Gemstone Wars - The Hidden Kingdom is a fantasy-western serial adventure, told in a 1930's and 1940's Saturday afternoon matinee style, in which the protagonists get in one bit of cliffhanger trouble after the next. It's perfect for fans of high-stakes action and unforgettable characters in every chapter. Filled with humor, danger, and heart, this self-contained story is the first in a planned trilogy.
The book is perfect for the beach, a road trip, the airport, a vacation, escapism, the proverbial 'waiting room,' and the dreadful trip to the in-laws' house.
The aspiring wordsmith saw Star Wars at the age of five, Indiana Jones at nine, and read The Lord of the Rings at eleven. I want to give back some of the magic I enjoyed as a child.
The author was born and raised in the Mid-Hudson Valley area of New York, near West Point Military Academy. He currently lives in the southeast of the United States.

I’m excited to introduce my debut sci-fi novella, "Thalassia: 2084" (English Edition): a science fiction novel, post-cyberpunk, and social dystopia.
Set in the year 2084, the island nation of Thalassia has survived a devastating war. It didn’t win, but it didn’t vanish either. A third of the land lies in ruins, and most of the population survives on Basic Income — just getting by. The rest of the population pretends that things are under control, running simulations of the future.
Mister Drey, one of the few remaining trusted analysts, is tasked with modeling these simulations. He builds the future, running his models… and never questioning the results.
That is, until he meets Emma — a woman who doesn't belong to the system. She doesn't follow the rules, and instead of ignoring broken places, she restores them. As soon as she enters the simulation, things begin to change.
Thalassia: 2084 is a quiet post-cyberpunk dystopian tale about control, memory, and the subtle power of human presence. It’s not about rebellion, but about choice — and what happens when the system begins to feel.
Perfect for those who enjoy thought-provoking dystopias, quiet rebellions, and stories where hope can emerge even from the ruins.

I’ve written several books, including the Strange Beer trilogy — think Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, but with more fizz and fewer towels.
My new book, War Machine, is a bit more serious and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (see link). https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0F6TKD47C
Fancy a free copy instead? Just drop me a message and I’ll send you the ARC link. It’s a quieter, more thoughtful kind of robot story — not about rampaging machines, but about what happens when one of them simply stops obeying orders. No massive explosions (well, maybe a few), just memory, mystery, and machines asking the wrong questions.
And finally, I’ve just finished Where Machines Go to Die — another satirical tale with a twist.

I've got a sale on my recently published Iron Age fantasy book. It's down from $3.97 to $0.99 cents until 18th May:
This is the link to the amazon page (universal link)
https://mybook.to/TheSorrowRoad
Action-packed Iron Age fantasy. Captured by Cyclopes and taken to a legendary hunting ground.
There is no hope. Not even for heroes.
The Sorrow Road. A place of legend. Thousands have died upon it. Thousands more will.
Torben is no hero. He's a raider, a killer of families and destroyer of homes. A king's son born to lead, to fight men in battle, for the glory of his name.
Drust once marched under the eagle standards of the Rusi Republic, and committed atrocities he can no longer hide from. He's also a spellweaver, the sort of man most prefer dead.
Nysa was supposed to be getting married, securing her father a strong alliance, not running for her life, chased by giants in the mountains.
They must fight together to survive three hundred miles of mountains, rivers, forests, monsters, and magic.
Brontes, The Great Hunter, Rider of the Snow Bear, has hunted prey in the Sorrow Road for hundreds of years. He will not fail in his task to kill the manthings.
Let the hunt begin.
The Sorrow Road is a standalone adventure inspired by ancient history and mythology, and some of the old film greats like Jason and the Argonauts, Sinbad, and Conan.
Anyhow, thanks for looking and your time!

Since self-publishing a dystopian novelette “Dark Place” I’ve pondered if it really belongs under the sci-fi genre. I consider that it sits firmly in the dystopian genre. However, promoting it in various places requires me to categorize it as primarily ‘science fiction.’
The story is set in a near-future draconian Earth and the technology/science is a development of today's technologies. In particular, AI has a significant impact on the plot. So now I'm questioning if including technology that is rapidly developing currently is sci-fi?
I’d be very interested in hearing members' thoughts. Would you have a specific expectation of a book categorized as sci-fi yet on reading find that it is predominantly dystopian? I feel the need to resolve this to reach the right readership.
I look forward to your comments.

It's 490 pages, including a handy glossary of female terminology and is due to be released on 15th June. A review would be appreciated, especially close to this time.

Human
A remarkable exploration of family, society, and what makes us human, HUMAN will take you from the post-apocalyptic world of the near future, to the two very different societies that emerge 15 million years later, where those few surviving individuals have evolved to become something that we might not fully recognize as human.

Not every story is for everyone. But if you're the kind of reader who enjoys crossing genre boundaries, getting lost in layered narratives, and watching characters grow beyond their limits — then Hotel on the Edge may surprise you in the best possible way.
So, who is this series for?
If you…
• Love cinematic storytelling with fast cuts, immersive settings, and shifting tones,
• Enjoy dark humor, irony, and philosophical undertones,
• Are drawn to psychological thrillers, but with a sci-fi twist,
• Appreciate when female characters evolve with depth, power, and inner conflict,
• Prefer stories that don’t spoon-feed, but challenge your perception,
• Like exploring parallel realities, hidden rules, and forbidden knowledge,
• Miss the vibe of works like Stanisław Lem, Philip K. Dick, The Matrix, or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.,
... then you’ll feel at home in this world.
This story begins with a seemingly light, even playful tone — but that's a carefully crafted shell. Underneath, you'll find a narrative that escalates into something larger, more dangerous, and more emotionally intense than the first pages suggest. The evolution of the main character, Alex, is only one of the many threads that make this story more than a typical sci-fi adventure.
As one reviewer said: “It starts with a smirk, ends with a punch.”
And that's exactly the point.
If you’re still on the fence — read a chapter. See where the door leads. Just don’t be surprised if it doesn’t open back the same way.
