Hello everyone.
I would like to share my debut novel with you.
It is called: The Serpent of Time.
Ember Willowleaf is a small elf-girl who has been asked to join on a quest to aid her kingdom against an impending danger, but rather soon, things start going wrong for her. The story is a blend of epic high fantasy with sword and sorcery. If you like The Hobbit or Storm Light Archive, or Krull, you may like it. I have tried to make each chapter, if not each page, contain excitement, tension or wonder. I hope others can enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. It is over 400 pages of story, 99k words. Here is the synopsis I currently use for the book.
Ember Willowleaf is afraid -- but she must not give up -- the Outer Lands are waiting for those brave enough to enter them and fate has dealt the cards that she now must play. Join her on a quest to save herself, her friends and the world she has known -- a voyage that will take her to the edge of eternity itself.

Ashes of Astarca, Book One
Astarca has become a desolate world. The Feralodon, a primordial monster, every night tries to exterminate the few survivors. Garian is one of them. One day, among the ruins of the old world, he finds a book written at an impossible date. A book written five hundred years later.
As he reads it, he realizes that perhaps the story told in the book may help them defeat the Feralodon after all. Also next to the book he finds a mysterious locked box that gives him what little hope he has in those days of despair.
The book tells the story of Atsorin. A young man whose wings were cut off when he was just a child. Now he had returned to claim his rightful throne.
A legend says that a silver-winged king will return Nirvenia to the splendor of the ancient Andorian Kingdom. Now the throne is occupied by Eldar, who has started an era of tyranny and has announced a bounty on Atsorin's head.
To defeat Eldar and reclaim the crown, his only option will be to regain his wings. To do so, he will have to embark on a journey full of dangers through Astarca. However, he will have the help of the primordial magic, using dice that collect the magic shards.
It is said that there are even more powerful dice, the ones responsible for the Great Cataclysm in the time of King Magriel. The ones that five hundred years earlier caused the arrival of the Feralodon, and with it the destruction of the world as it was known. Dice capable of destroying worlds and changing the course of time. Perhaps these dice are Atsorin's last hope.
During his journey he will have to face legendary monsters, go through nightmarish places, visit dark dungeons. But he will also find heroes of legend, weapons capable of defeating mythical beasts, magical objects of unimaginable power...
Immerse yourself in an epic adventure in the world of Astarca.
Blood Sky, Book Two
The source of primordial magic has been exhausted. And with it has disappeared the Sphere that kept Astarca safe.
The Turgen, ruthless beings from another plane have entered Astarca to devastate everything in their wake. Villages and cities are falling one after another. While the kingdom of Nirvenia tries to resist, Atsorin sends a mission to the ruins of the ancient Arcane University to recover the only object that may close again the Plane of Astarca.
Besides, the leader of the Circle has returned, ready to take revenge on Sir Desmond. Though that is only the beginning of his plans.
After the latest events, even Magnus Aurum, the supreme Paladin of the Unari, is overwhelmed by the situation.
Battles, monsters, labyrinthine ruins, betrayals. All this and much more you will find in the pages of this exciting second part of the series that began with 'Ashes of Astarca'.
Find out how the story continues.
The Crimson Knight, Book Three
The epic showdown that will decide the future of Astarca.
Valan is held prisoner in the Citadel of the Circle. To free his son, Atsorin must defeat Magnus Aurum. However, he knows that his power is so abysmal that he has no chance.
His only hope is to go through the Labyrinth of Sargon. A place forgotten by all, from which no one has ever returned. A labyrinth created by the first and most powerful of the Unari, when he had fallen into a spiral of madness.
Meanwhile, the mythical kingdom of New Lubetia has awakened, and now on the border of Nirvenia the most formidable battle of all time is about to break out.
An ancient brotherhood claims that the Crimson Knight, a legendary figure who will restore peace to Astarca, is about to appear.

I am offering the kindle version of Realms and Kings, Book one of the Fields of Honor Trilogy, as a free download beginning Monday, 8/22 and through Friday, 8/26. This is part of the Honor series that is presented in three separate trilogies. In this trilogy we see Kaled and Hawke begin preparations to sail to Tyria, the oldest and greatest city in the known world, and the capital city of Athesia, ruled by the powerful King Jerald.
Kaled will be Aman’s guest at the Council of Kings while Hawke and his fellow soldiers will compete as guests in the venerated Triennial Games at the ancient Arena. There, they will face the enemy soldiers of Calara in competitions. Kaled will face his own challenges as he seeks a permanent seat on the Council, the greatest facing King Jerald, who is certain to remember his trial and near execution when he was a teenager in exile with his mother the scheming Queen Celia. All of the kings on the Council are aware of his less than stellar past in Tyria, and it is they who will either accept his request for membership or deny it.
Meanwhile, in the enemy realm of Calara, an alliance with a mysterious blood cult is being cemented between its leader, Lamah-shar, and Dion, nephew to King Louis and the chosen crown prince. This alliance spells peril for all of the realms of the Common Market, and for Kaled and Shalia in particular. As the Vasi delegations set sail for the far eastern realm of Athesia, the leader of the blood cult also sails east with a nefarious and bloody itinerary in mind.
This book and the others of the Honor series may be viewed or ordered at the following link. For those who download, I hope you enjoy the series. More books will be offered free in the near future. Thank you.

Yeah I agree, not sure the larger looking format looks as professional as the original book pages.

Same, not sure either. I'm hoping it will improve things for us though.
And I also hope they bring back pay per click ads. All their advertisements are super expensive, and they even charge for givaways.

Strange Worlds

The second book of my Fields of Honor Trilogy, TYRIA, will be free to download in Kindle format from August 29 through September 2.
In the ancient and diverse city of Tyria, capitol city of Athesia, many religions and cults have established a place among the people, but one looms to threaten them all.
From the onset of their arrival in Tyria, the Vasi citizens and soldiers are challenged by what seems to be an overt prejudice against them. Someone high up in the rule of the realm has apparently arranged for the Vasi soldiers and tradesman to be assigned to less than habitable housing accommodations. Though prepared for less than preferential treatment, they come to the realization they will have much to overcome to find a place in this city.
When spies from an unknown realm are discovered by Hawke and Bret, and Syporian children begin to disappear, a hunt by the Athesian military for the hiding place of the spies and their leader changes the perception the Athesians have had of the Vasi soldiers and citizens. Hawke and Captain Rush Soren, already assigned to seek information about the mystery realm that provided ships to Louis of Calara, embark on a joint mission to Little Syporia, the most dangerous section of the city of Tyria, and return with information that alerts the Athesian military leaders to the presence of a long-forgotten cult that thrives on forbidden sacrifices. The threat unites the Athesian, Syporian, Mederan, and Vasi in a quest to prevent an ancient and bloodthirsty evil expelled a thousand years ago from regaining a foothold in Athesia.

My science fiction novel, Plenum: The First Book of Deo, is available on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, etc. It is published by Untimely Books, a publishing cooperative.
Amazon link: https://www.amazon.ca/Plenum-First-Bo...
This is the first of an ambitious series of books being published on an aggressive schedule (roughly two books per year) dealing with a crisis in the development of humanity in the future. Plenum introduces us to Vanu Francoeur, a young gender-neutral novice in a monastic religious order that occupies a star cluster and is mandated to increase the number of stars in the cluster as part of a vast engineering initiative. Vanu has questions, both about hir status and identity and about hir role within the community. Zhe is also preoccupied with hir young sibling, a victim of bullying. Zhe gets into trouble when zhe enters into a relationship with a forbidden outsider. There ensues a power struggle between hir, hir sibs and friends, including an intelligent whale and octupus, adapted to live in the interstellar void outside, and the authorities, which disrupts the community and leads to a fiery resolution inside a star.
The book raises questions around gender identity that resonate with our contemporary world, as well as exploring how radical technologies affect the experience of being human. The book also embraces a questioning of religion and its role in our future. The book has attracted interest as a provocative source of discussion about gender, religion, psychology and mental health, language, the relation between humans and non humans, techology, youth culture, and so on, by several groups - I have animated several zoom sessions in this way.
It has been called "a thoroughly engaging read, and combines plot development and action seamlessly with philosophical, moral, and spiritual explorations that are just as engaging to read".

Daniel and Sophia Fitzroy are worried that their son Tony is being bullied in his new school and is struggling to cope.
Leo Schafer is reporting on a new and powerful particle accelerator experiment and the protestors who want it stopped.
FBI Special Agent Debra Kazdin is investigating the protests and trying to keep things from escalating.

I worked up the nerve and went for it, to prove something to myself.
It's just a novella, a 2-3 hour read, but I think it takes you on quite a powerful journey (hopefully), and you will discover a very unique concept.
The Blurb:
A confusing childhood event, forgotten through maturity. Dismissed, with the death of a grandfather.
When sad events bring what remains of a family together and history repeats - the bait is set, and Daniel is no longer a child. He bites.
This time there can be no forgetting. For the sake of his sanity, a one hundred year old mystery must be uncovered. Questions of adventure, of jungle, and the mind.
But he'll find that some answers just can't be given. Knowledge isn't always comprehension.

Entropy is hard post-apocalyptic sci-fi about the extinction of the human species. My inspirations in writing this story are THE ROAD by Cormac McCarthy, NEUROMANCER by William Gibson, and DARK MATTER by Blake Crouch. If you are kind enough to read Entropy, I can guarantee a thought-provoking adventure about the end of humanity.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
Our extinction is inevitable.
Not through some random apocalyptic event, but by the natural decline of the human swarm until its eventual demise. So says entropy in the second law of thermodynamics.
Bill Bartles is one of the manifold data washers from the Department of Receipt and Organization of New Content, or DRONC as they prefer to be called. His purpose? Locate new information, clean it up, and add it to the Infinity Drive. Or as he often quips: Find all the knowledge ever created by mankind, strip out the crap, and save it to a little black box, no bigger than a shoebox. That’s his brief, simple and sweet.
Bartles has it all: a captivating companion, an inner-city apartment mid-way up the tall-tower, and an imminent promotion. For him, life is great—except for his obsession with entropy and its promise that nothing lasts forever.
When he digs too deep into the forbidden archives of Aleph-1—the avant-garde CPU that controls the Infinity Drive—Bartles’ perfect life is shattered, plunging him into an unrecognizable world of blood-red wastelands, empty mega-cities, and receding oceans. A dangerous place inhabited by new apex predators, where the remnants of humanity struggle on the brink of extinction.
Now, locked in the fight of our lives against entropy, Bill Bartles must decide if saving the last of humanity is worth losing the Infinity Drive, and with it, all the knowledge of mankind …
In this stunning debut novel, McGinty brings us science-fiction at its best. Set against an ominous backdrop of desolation and decay, ENTROPY asks the question: with every trivial moment of our time here saved to file, can the human condition continue long after we’re gone?

I have a new SciFi - Space Opera Release out now on Amazon and it is a bit different.
What would it be like to enter someone's mind and see what they were thinking, to view their ideas. On the other hand, what if they were inside your mind?
Antimatter had been controlled and was used for power of the spaceship that the scientist Nina remembered, when she woke up after the explosion. But being the only survivor of the crash, and deep in enemy territory was not her major problem. It was the voice on her head and the double vision in her eyes.
As a Warrior who had spent his entire life fighting and protecting others, he had gone deep into enemy territory to cover the insertion of the technical people who needed to find out information on a new weapon. The explosion took out everything, all his people, all the buildings and even the ground, leaving a round hole in the ground. It also left him with a strange voice in his head and double vision of sights he didn’t understand.
Had they both gone insane from the contact of Antimatter on two different worlds so far apart they weren’t even on each other’s star chart?

Sentient Chili and Stranger Filk: Lyrics to 107 Songs of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Fandom
by Chris Weber.
"Filk" is the term applied to the fan music of science fiction and fantasy. Readers and viewers of the genre will find familiar faces and tales. These lyrics cover topics from movies and television to books and original stories. Much of the collection leans towards humor, while touching other emotional chords as well. The stanzas have the feel of '80s nostalgia but are not exclusively from that era.
The collection is like the contents of the proverbial box of chocolates, bite-sized and filled with surprises.
It is now available as an e-Book, in paperback, and in hardback from Amazon.com.

I have two fantasy novels published by Golden Storyline Books, with a third one coming. The first one in the trilogy is Necromancer's Gambit. Here's a description:
The land of Thalacia is threatened by sorcery and the presence of powerful forces. Two groups of necromancers attempt to wreak havoc in Thalacia, one by stealing a magic gem to use in a powerful magic device and the another by abducting Duke Wrightwood and bending his will to theirs using a powerful amulet. Evan Pierce, a demon hunter and protector of the realm, must somehow stop both plots.
In this sword and sorcery tale, the uneasy balance and fraught alliances that reign within Thalacia and their neighbouring lands are jeopardized. For Evan Pierce, the events remain shrouded in mystery and he must confront a difficult path. The prophecies state that those seeking the gems will surely meet their downfall.

The second one continues the story, Thieves' Gambit.
Description: Sorcery returns to threaten the land of Thalacia as thieves begin to join forces with powerful necromancers. In this tale of magic and fantasy, the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance, as a group of thieves searches for a source of supreme magic and another has imposed its evil and tyrannical will on the town of Irenrhod.
Working separately, Ahlan Falconhead, a Michaeline knight and Evan Pierce, a demon hunter and protector of the realm, must work to foil both schemes with little more than their skill and determination, less evil will befall the land and all who live in it.

Greetings Goodreads community!
The Arcworld series, of which the first two books have just been released, chronicles 7,500 years of human history, from ancient Rome to distant solar systems.
The Arc introduces the Arcworld and its characters, following Titus from his rude awakening in ancient Rome through the next two-thousand years. Follow him in his journey from childhood till his true awakening as the leader of an order of immortals dedicated to their own survival and the defeat of an enemy hell-bent on their destruction. Something caused their predicament, and even if they never figure out why or how, they will still survive to the mathematically prophesied time and place in order to fulfill their preordained destiny.
Vanir tells the story of Samuel and his most loyal companion, exploring the stars for their own existential answers. As the final story in the Arcworld, Vanir bookends the series hinting at all the fascinating stories in between the two books. Vanir uses flashbacks like The Arc uses flash-forwards, to tease at the multitude of other stories that the Arcworld has yet to reveal, yet Vanir never feels overly heavy in its own importance. Rather, The Arc sets the world, and Vanir runs in it playfully, exploring potential futures for us all. And, coupled with a short story at the end of Vanir, The Fairer Sex provides a contrary view to the events from Vanir from the perspective of the antagonist.
I hope you enjoy the book, now available on Amazon, Kobo, B&N, and Apple Books.
