William Hartman Hi, I'm Bill. After years of threatening friends and family I would, I did end up writing a book, the first in a trilogy. The name of the book is "The Faerie Child"; the name of the trilogy is "The Tricksters' Gambit".

This is the blurb I have for the book as it is listed on Amazon:

Black Friday New York City, 1987. Tim O’Doul a recently fired law clerk, walking depressed through Central Park encounters a homeless child with a nail stuck in their foot. Removing the nail changes Tim’s life with a flash of light and a leprechaun's giggle.

Tim must ask himself: Who is he really? The old playmate Nipsey the leprechaun says he is, or something more that might change the world not just for himself but for his new friends who are now his family too?

With the aid of an African-American FBI agent, an ancient Russian spy, and Greek mobsters, (as well as a clever leprechaun!) Tim searches for answers in this revealed world of danger, passion, and violence. More importantly, he must now find the lost love of his life in that world. A woman who hates him more than life itself.

I hope you enjoy it at least as much as I did writing it. :)

Dennis Fuery After years of writing on the writing prompts subreddit, I have turned one of my most-loved stories into the start of a series of books about a superhero named Quarterback.

The Cleansing Protocol, the first novel in the series, explores the creation of superhumans and the troubles that come.

What does it mean to be a superhero? Before the year 2000, that was a nonsensical question. Then the arrival of an interstellar spacecraft had the unintended consequence of turning fiction into reality by altering a small percentage of the population.

Martin McDavis was a 19-year-old fighting a life-threatening brain tumor when he inadvertently became the first of these altered humans. He must now use the new and unusual abilities of his mind and body to learn what the craft's plans are and prevent it from completing its mission to cleanse the planet.

The aftermath of its cleansing protocol led to the rise of newly altered humans. An old high school bully is one of these altered humans and has his heart set on vengeance against Martin. Martin, further changed by The Event, must stop at nothing to save himself and the woman he loves as he becomes the superhero, Quarterback.

It is available on Kindle Unlimited and I invite everybody to take a look.

Leon Stevens Tomorrow was supposed to be the release date for my novella, but I decided to do it early.

Two heads are better than one

What would you do if you found yourself on or in another world? Do you have the skills and knowledge needed to survive or to make sense of what you see?

Thomas sets out on a hike he has done many times before. Taking only what he needs for the three or four hours he expects to be gone, he passes a vehicle in the parking lot. The handwritten note on the dashboard read: Not Abandoned. The view at the end of the trail was not what he expected—neither were the friendships.

Two people with adventurous spirits, heading off into the unknown with only their physical fitness and combined knowledge to get them through everything they may encounter.

Jason Harrington Hi I'm Jason,

I am working on the third book of a double trilogy series. The first trilogy is Destiny of the Void Triangle it features our main protagonist Rylin, and his best friend, Ishell. They both possess great potential in sorcery in different ways. But there is also a demonic prophecy "the book of worms shall rise before Creation's End." In a world of cruelty and elitism, where an order of balance strives to protect the well-being of the people, the vague meaning of that prophecy is lost to two thousand years of ignorance. Fortunately, Lily likes him so much that she gets him to fly cover for a mission to another planet, hoping to spend time with him there. Unfortunately, instead of sunbathing on a beautiful beach with her, he gets captured by an unknown but very hostile alien fleet.

As he waiting to be interrogated again by his hideous alien captors – he can hear shooting – is today getting worse or better? Will he see the fleet again or is he abandoned far from Earth?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09RN37KFT

Humanity of future society was tested from a new perspective, on a new planet, in this book.
Would our minds in a future of highly developed and take-what-you-want society be very noble? What would our lives be like if average life expectancy was nearly 400 years? Could the origin of human beings be found in the universe? On an earth-like planet, how would we treat other human species who were less developed? If we went back in time, would we become ferocious?

The Third Reich meets the Swinging Sixties in a comic meta-thriller (The Pentacle Papers Book 1)

The book has been selected as a semi-finalist in the SPSFC by the file 770 team.

THIS 5*-RATED NOVEL IS ON FREE BOOK PROMOTION ON AMAZON FROM 1ST TO 5TH FEBRUARY

Use https://mybook.to/conjecture for your local Amazon page

The Hammond Conjecture is an alternative history novel which explores themes of memory, identity and historical narrative. It is also a lot of fun.
Are you sure you know who you are? If your memories disappeared and were replaced with someone else's, would you still be you? And what if those memories were not just from another person - but of a different world?
London 1982. Regaining consciousness in an isolation ward of catatonic patients, glimpsing the outside world only through a television news bulletin, that is the dilemma facing Hugh Hammond. Gradually Hugh's memories return – of his life as an MI6 officer a decade earlier. But in a world where Britain has been locked since 1941in a lonely Cold War against a fascist-dominated Europe. Are his memories false: delusions, or implanted as part of a mind-control experiment? Or was the television news fake – and if so, why? And what is the role of Carlton, the shadowy Intelligence officer who delivered him to the hospital?
Hugh types out his recollections: an adventure which takes him from an opium den in Limehouse to a Le Carré-style climax in the divided city of Paris. Meanwhile in the hospital Hugh struggles to understand his predicament – and to escape from it. But escape only leads him into greater danger…

The Knighthood
There are those who have greatness thrust upon them, and there are those who are born into it. There are those who discover that they are burdened with a glorious destiny, or that they possess rare abilities, setting them apart from humanity. But in even rarer cases, there are those who are born into greatness, only to have it stolen away.
There are those who discover that their glorious destiny is meant for someone else, or that the powers they thought they possessed, are nonexistent.
Evy Winters was among those rarer cases. Raised in the elven world, she had resigned herself to living for hundreds of years, having magic, and going on dangerous, noble quests. Life for an elf demanded strength in adversity, and she had met that demand.
Orphaned at the age of twelve and kept in a desolate lighthouse for the majority of her teenage years, hardship was a constant.
But discovering that one was switched at birth and actually mortal. . . well, adversity and hardship weren’t the right words.
Calamity was.
Lifespan reduced by centuries, birthright dissolved, and acceptance in the magical world denied, Evy’s already crumbling world is threatened to be torn apart completely.

C.E. Chester I had the idea what if a woman woke up thinking she was in a lakeside mansion with the love of her life, but when she opened her eyes she was in a crappy little apartment all alone. What if her subconscious remembered an old time line, while her conscious brain remembered the new one.

When I tried to write the book from that point, my beta readers were very confused. I quickly realized just because my character was confused, didn't mean my readers needed to be. So, I went back and started it in the first time line, when she had the dream life, was betrayed, and the time machine was built.

Nancy Golden Greetings All! I am grateful for the opportunity to share about my debut science fiction novel, Alien Neighbors:

A fun and uplifting science fiction novel with an optimistic view of the future

Nuclear scientist Tom, his brave, spunky 12-year-old daughter Stephanie, and NASA mission commander Theresa join forces during a First Contact. Tom finds himself risking his career, custody of his daughter, and possibly his life, to save his new alien friend while attempting to prevent the annihilation of Earth.

Star Trek collides with Armageddon in this human-alien friendship where an introverted human nerd and an alien college professor with an irrepressible sense of humor form an unlikely alliance in an effort to save both their worlds and, ultimately, each other.

Stealing a spaceship and kidnapping an alien are not out of the question...

Terri The King's Claim

The book is rated 18+ (mature audiences only).
Genre is Romance (sub-genre alien/scifi).
Please read the book's blurb before purchasing. I do have trigger warnings up for those who are sensitive to certain materials.

The book is based on the planet Tnari where an Earth woman must find out the secrets of the King. However, during her stay, she finds out an entirely different secret. One that wasn't in the King's files. She also ends up being Arlan's (the King) soulmate.

The book has a good bit of action and steam. If you like either. The ebook mostly focuses on the blossoming relationship rather than non-stop sex.

Michael Abbott Greetings to you all in the Motley Crew! I wanted to pick your brains regarding your interest in beta reading, reviews, and editing. I have been editing books as of late, and have become acquainted with a good number of popular horror and fantasy authors. First, I love horror. I grew up on a steady diet of Stephen King, Clive Barker, and Joe Lansdale. As of late I’ve been reading a lot of fantasy and more authors who have not, say, had the success of the aforementioned authors. Since I have started editing, I’ve come across some great writing and a good percentage of those books have been published and have had a modicum of success. What I have found is that I am becoming a champion of the self-published underdog. The writing of the novels I work on is comparable to some of my favorite authors. The issue is exposure in a saturated market. I am teaching myself many aspects of the publishing industry, including advertising and marketing. This is all in the service of those self-same underdogs. What do you think? Is there a winning solution for those without a ton of money for marketing. What makes you want to read an author that hasn’t been discovered, and what would make you want to beta read or review that work? One of the novels I’ve worked on recently is The Stones of Valtara by Christopher Clargo. You can find a free sample on the author’s website and the book is on Amazon. I would love to hear what you think about a book of that nature. Cheers to you all and thank you!

Laurie Woodward Hi Everyone!
My publisher is now offering the first book of the Artania Chronicles: Pharaoh's Cry for free. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...
What is it about?
Can a kid who’s forced to bathe six times a day save a magical world? It’s not his fault his father drowned in a mud puddle just before he was born, turning Mother into a cleaning fanatic. Now eleven-year-old Bartholomew Borax III can’t go to school, play outside, or, worst of all, make art. But he has to. So he sketches in secret.

Then two amazing things happen, he’s allowed to go to school and he meets skateboarding painter, Alexander Devinci. In Bartholomew’s book, Alex is wicked cool because he gets needing to create. But sharing glimpses of a freaky world every time they brush past each other makes for a tentative friendship. Meanwhile, Alex’s strained relationship with his mother takes an ominous turn when she has a heart attack, leading Bartholomew to reach out.

Later, during an art museum field trip, a rainbow inside a painting yanks the boys into another realm. Bartholomew’s living in an antiseptic mansion is nothing in comparison to how weird Artania is with living paintings, sculptures, and sketches. It shares some mystical connection with Earth, but is in grave danger. Twelve pharaohs have been captured and if they are not freed soon, an entire Artanian nation will be destroyed. But only Alex and Bartholomew’s powers can rescue them.

No way.

When he sees a struggling Artanian child pulled underground, Bartholomew finally agrees to help, not knowing if it will be enough. With Egyptian gods, goddesses, and warriors at their side, they brave a series of battles, duels, and skateboarding escapes. Bartholomew blunders again and again. Amidst dead and wounded comrades, his guilt grows. As his confidence begins to erode, he must work with Alex but it takes all of his talents and more to battle an evil race of shadowy creatures. For only the power of true creation will finally defeat Sickhert’s army and bring art back to the world.

Lee McCall Hi Larry, I know how you feel. Just finished my first book too, a sci-fi novel titled "Sleeping Dogs," which is the first in a series I'm working on too. You're right that it all seems pretty overwhelming at the moment. I'm still trying to figure out how to get it out for reviews before release. I haven't ever developed any kind of social media presence up to now, at least as a writer.

Alex There are lists of reviewers and their criteria for review. You just have to go through the lists and see what they will accept. Many will want the finished product, whether paperback or digital. A few will accept proofs, the typeset text. Whatever they consider, you have to hook then with a description of the book, not easy. Unless you have a lot of money to spend on advertising or you have a million followers (not much of an exaggeration), reviews are the only way to reach an audience. End Man, October 2022.

R. Vazquez Hi fellow book lovers,

If you're a fan of Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi fiction, time travel, and cosmic high stakes, you may find Beneath An Alien Sun of interest. It's currently listed on Amazon as a Pre-Order for May 10, 2022.

The story, in a nutshell:

They were sent back in time to fulfill a prophecy, or to die.

Merlin Stone survives a bizarre kidnapping he suspects was orchestrated by his deranged tech mogul father. Abandoned on a Greek hilltop, the young drifter decides to return home, get a job, and settle down.

But the year 2101 has other plans for Merlin, America, and the planet. Optimistic reports of an approaching “space hurricane” turn out to be lies. Billions of unsuspecting Ords are going to die.

Distraught, Merlin refuses to join the secret Deo exodus to Mars and begins documenting the sinister turn of events and his own perilous quest for love and community. Unknown to Merlin, the greater threat to humanity moves across the planet unchecked and unseen.

Two-thousand years later, in an alien-controlled world, Merlin’s recorded notes are discovered by a haunted cadet. Ava Blue, her friends, and humanity itself are put to the test before an intergalactic mob of coldblooded spectators and gamblers.

Thanks for your interest,
Ramon
