Madeline Kalvis This isn't my book, but I did talk about it on my blog, so I put it in this thread just to be safe.

I have been yearning to tell the world about Hogar, Lord of the Asyr since I first read it, and I think this group should be able to appreciate it more than anyone. I give you: The Greatest Book Ever Written:

Well I was going to publish my book, but it will cost about $1000 + to proofread it and format it. I cannot justify that expense when I have no prospect whatsoever of this thing generating any interest on kindle and nook much like my previous novels.

Ryan Krol Hello everyone,

I wanted to share all three of my books. If you're interested, the Amazon links are below the Goodreads cover thumbnails. If you would like a free copy for a review, contact me at ryanwkrol@icloud.com and I can send a PDF or ePUB.

Syndrome by Ryan Krol Syndrome: amazon.com/dp/B083SLN5ZJ

Deep within the mountains of the remote Nevada Desert in 1957, an accident at an underground research facility leads to a deadly discovery.

Dr. Sean Warner and his team of myth-chasing scientists are called upon to conduct a private investigation by the facility's philanthropist owner, Tom Sullivan. Knowing the potential dangers, this incident must be concealed from the government.

Looking for anything to restore their reputations, Warner and his team don't know what they're getting themselves into. Something is waiting for them in the depths of the darkness.

Meanwhile, a group of mischievous kids from a nearby small town snoop too close, endangering themselves, as well as the safety of the entire town. If this thing gets out, many lives could be at stake.

Cabin Number 4 by Ryan Krol Cabin Number 4: amazon.com/dp/B08474H8HP

In 1983, murder shook the town of Black Hawk, Colorado. The case went cold. Ten years later, Steven Becker still hunts his wife's killer. The bloodshed has returned. As detectives investigate these new crimes, Becker returns to Black Hawk to solve his wife's case on his own. What seems like a murdering spree turns out to be a mystery of terror beyond anything Becker could ever have imagined.

Blaze of Glory by Ryan Krol Blze of Glory: amazon.com/dp/B08QCWW2Z9

The year is 1869. Gold is plentiful. Everyone seeks riches, including outlaws. At a saloon in Yosemite on the night of April 5, 1906, Jimmy Buckman tells his tale about how he lost everything and stood up to save his family legacy against his nemesis, Lone Pine Jack, in 1869. While Buckman tells his story, Lone Pine Jack is there in the saloon waiting for Buckman. From the author of Syndrome and Cabin Number 4, comes a rollercoaster ride of cowboys, natives, and robbers racing from California to Utah Territory to find and protect a lost treasure.

Hope you enjoy!

Thank you for your interest and support,

Ryan Krol

I'm new, but excited to be here!

I just released my first book - The Darkest Skies.

My book is about a young man named Luke who joins an organization known as the "Tornado Knights". Their role is to use futuristic technology to destroy tornadoes. It's a mix of Twister, Ghostbusters, and first responder dynamics. There is also a bit of romance and humor throughout.

Back blurb: Luke Sullivan’s life was turned upside down when a tornado destroyed his childhood home. Having lost his family in the disaster, he vows to not let others share his fate. Luke joins the Tornado Knights – an elite group tasked with fighting tornadoes. As the newest member, Luke must not only prove his worth, but also survive his first tornado season amidst unprecedented storms.

Ride along with the Tornado Knights as they use the latest technology in hopes of destroying these monstrous storms.

Unfortunately, not all tornadoes can be stopped.

Colin My new book, PRINCESS OF SHADOWS: The Girl Who Would Be King by Colin Alexander, is now out on Amazon in ebook and paperback formats.
Princess of Shadows The Girl Who Would Be King by Colin Alexander Princess of Shadows: The Girl Who Would Be King

The description from Amazon:

Once upon a time, it was a tough world for a young princess. What happens to the world when the princess decides to get even?

Aeryn Stonebreaker is the Princess of Shadows, second in line to the throne of the Light, Shadows, and Dark. The singsong her nursemaids give her is, “Gimlé is wide and bleak, Aeryn is small and weak.”

It’s a hard life on Gimlé, a strange world with a red sun that does not move in the sky. Generations before, Aeryn’s warrior-king ancestor, Arthur the Hammer, unified the land and established a detailed Code of governance and behavior. But while Aeryn is a child, obedience to Arthur’s Code is fraying and the kingdom is ripped apart by rebellion and war. She grows up amid the ebb and flow of fighting and the losses it causes.

What is the fate of a young girl in a patriarchal world where a princess is nothing more than a token on the game boards of powerful men? However, this is a princess who stops playing by the rules and picks up her own weapons. What happens then?

Kim Elliott I’ve always enjoyed the superhero genre but have found the romance lacking. That’s what inspired me to write Falling for the Villain, a new adult superhero romance novel.

Being a superhero is hard enough...Don’t fall for your arch nemesis.

College junior Aubree Klein stays busy with a full course load, work, and protecting River City from villains as flame-wielding superhero Blue Nova. The last thing she needs is more time with her arch enemy, the evil super genius Dr. Vile. Using his malicious inventions to inflict destruction on the city, Dr. Vile knows just how to get under Aubree’s skin. But when a new and even more powerful villain threatens the city, there's only one person she can turn to for help.

As the temporary allies get closer, they find that identities aren't the only secrets being kept, and their mutual hatred may have been masking something else all along. With the fate of the city hanging in the balance, will the tense partnership last? And will Aubree find a way to combat her conflicting feelings for the one person she swore to despise?

Bobby Brazil Murphy Knows what aliens eat is my unique book which is about a young street fighter boy growing up in the 70's in Dublin. who gets abducted by aliens and returns to Earth to deal with the problems of global warming and ecology. The book is written as a comedy but is intended to be a ray of light in this darkening world.
I am running a giveaway on Amazon of the ebook from the 17th-21st and I hope you read it. The proceeds from this work will be donated to the World Wildlife fund for nature. Their mission to build a world where people live in harmony with nature is more critical than ever, so please give it a chance. I have used an abduction to a planet full of leprechauns to tell moral tales. the same way as Jonathon Swift used Lilliput. Its a comedy with a very important message that needs to be heard.

Martin Kearns Beneath the Veil is a contemporary fantasy novel with laced with aspects of horror. The book is on sale through 11/16/2021 for 99 cents.

https://amzn.to/3kEiDKb

Full Editorial Review

“There’s something happening out there. It’s hard to explain, but you can feel it.” What is happening begins with a bridge collapsing into the murky depths of the Hudson. David Dolan is an easygoing guy known for his warmth, kindness, and wry sense of humor. He has no idea that the horrific destruction of a bridge filled with oblivious commuters was perpetrated specifically against him. When his unconscious body is found on the bank of the river, his longtime girlfriend and no-nonsense mother are immediately notified. An intense investigation surrounding the collapsed bridge leaves David as a person of interest. Rumors of strange things happening around the city become real life horrors, all while David’s physical body remains in a coma. Neither dead nor alive exactly, David embarks on a journey that will change everything. His eyes are opened to truths about himself and about realms unseen, revealing a plot and purpose larger than any mere mortal can bear.

Beneath the Veil is an entirely original novel that brings together elements of fantasy, mystery and dark horror. The premise is broadly about good versus evil, however very few characters fall wholly into either category. So often, writers exploit religion as an easy source of derision and mockery, but Kearns utilizes religions such as Christianity and Buddhism in a respectful manner. Furthermore, he adds in a generous measure of mythology and fable to create a sturdy urban fantasy filled with a likable cast that is punctuated by one particularly abysmal villain. Especially impressive is the skill Kearns displays in his rich and disturbing descriptions. It’s been a while since a book really scared me, but Beneath the Veil is legitimately frightening as graphic battles between unimaginable creatures are waged on earth and beyond. And the characters in David’s life are meticulously constructed, so much so that readers will be emotionally invested in even the tiny kernel of a relationship that is developing between an open-minded detective and David’s mother. A supernatural detective story with earth-shattering ramifications, Beneath the Veil is brilliantly conceived and fiercely told.

Max Mason Check out my premiere SF novel NOVASTROM

Novastrom: Adventures from the Zrax wars

It was all just a matter of time. Just a matter of time until the Zrax prevailed over the defensive alliance of the Humans, Tarks, Jadden, Calans. Kra, Eans, Zxmyrans, Saidak, and Sem. Only the troublesome Frontier, an unnatural galactic void, had delayed the Empire's inevitable victory over the nascent Stellar Federation. Still, with millions of warriors, thousands of ships, countless worlds, and virtually unlimited resources at their command, time was on their side. And then the Humans found something that could tip the balance of the war in their favor, an alien weapon that could move planets, and the Zrax knew they had to act. Time was of the essence. Now, the members of the Federation find themselves engaged in a deathmatch with a massive Zrax armada led by the Emperor himself, and the alien weapon has disappeared. With their forces stretched to the breaking point and their options few, it's now up to an unorthodox Terran Captain, an eccentric scientist, his autonomous protector, a talented spy, and a mysterious young woman, to recover the alien device and save the worlds of the Federation from the rampages of a mad, marauding Zrax warlord. And time is running out.

Now available as a paperback, ebook, and audiobook through
https://aiapublishing.com/product/god...

The world is messed up. Bad people are everywhere, and some make selfish laws so they can take everything for themselves. Devon wants to make it better, but she doesn’t know how, until a big, silver humanoid with lethal powers appears before her. Devon figures it’s a gift from God, sent to help her make everyone be nice to each other.
They set out together to confront the president. Along the way, they meet many people, some friendly, some not. Devon must work out who is good and who is bad. Who wants to help her, and who wants only to use her?

Editorial review:
“A child’s unremarkable act of rebellion launches an extraordinary series of events in a story that incorporates elements of science fiction, horror, and political commentary in a brisk package. … DeWitt’s skill in capturing the perspective of his protagonist makes the journey consummately entertaining. As Devon and Auntie reach the highest halls of American power, the story reads like a horror allegory, delivering plenty of deliciously unsettling moments and eerie sequences along the way.” Blue Ink Reviews.

I hope you'll check it out.

Leonie Just wanted to let the group know that my latest book, Dark Days, will have a cover reveal on Wednesday at 1am GMT. (Which is midday, AEDST). The book itself will come out in the next couple of months.

It's the sequel to Amethyst Pledge (The Albatar Chronicles, #1) by Leonie Rogers , which is YA fantasy.

In Amethyst Pledge, we meet Kazari.

'When Kazari answers the Lady’s call to serve, she never expects to take the amethyst of the Hunter, one of the select few who defend Albatar from the gorgones - demons brought from Beyond by the Second King. After all, at fifteen, she’s short and stocky, and not made of the stuff of legends. But the Lady, (she who created Albatar as a sanctuary for the faithful following the Gorgone War) has other ideas. And now rumours of gorgone attacks herald another war.

As a Hunter, a group whose exploits are legend within Albatar, Kazari is expected to play her part in the coming war. But as young and untrained as she is, and despite the gifts the Lady has given her, how can she live up to the legends of the past?

When gorgones attack the Abbey and threaten her family, Kazari doesn’t have a choice. And with Albatar under attack, even the Hunters’ gifts may not be enough to defeat the evil that threatens them all.'

Dark Days follows Kazari as she endeavours to protect her family and friends while the Gorgone threat grows, and Albatar's future becomes more and more uncertain.

Gary Stringer Just wanted to announce that the third novel in my Tempestria series, Shadows Fall is published.

Shadows Fall (The Salvation of Tempestria #3) by Gary Stringer

MY NAME IS ARSHES MEGANE AND I AM IMMORTAL.

This all happened before, and everything ended. Six attempts gone – one attempt remains.

My mother, Catriona, is finally ready to unlock the secrets of her staff. Mandalee, the cleric of Light, has vowed to protect her. The machinations of the sorceress, Dreya the Dark, span three worlds, but even that may not be enough.

The final battle of the shadow warriors is upon them. Heaven’s Surrender will be used and the only thing that might protect the world is a Wish. Together, Cat and her friends, Light and Dark, must become the Guardians of Time & Magic and intervene. This time, before it’s too late.

On the eve of war, my plan unfolds, bringing my father a thousand years into the future. For the end of this war is not the Salvation of Tempestria, but the beginning of something worse and unless he can help me, it will mean the end of the world...again.

This is the story of The Salvation of Tempestria, as told by an immortal girl from the future using an Illegal Time Intervention to save the world…or possibly end it.

Also, I have made a pledge on my Instagram: A free copy to anyone who reads and reviews books 1 and 2.

"You do realize that Tarks don’t issue arrest warrants, they issue death warrants. If we were to turn you over to them, there would be no trial.”
The prisoner shrugged, “So?”
“So, a Tark execution is a little bit beyond what we consider cruel and unusual punishment; the condemned is wrapped in a web and devoured by a clutch of newly hatched Tarklings, over a period of days. The hundreds of Tarklings eat their meals alive, saving the vital organs for last. Doesn’t that prospect frighten you?”
“It terrifies me.”

My fantasy novel The Menocht Loop is now on Amazon and Audible!

Hi all, I’m Lorne Ryburn. I’m excited to finally be publishing my series, The Menocht Loop (ebook and audiobook are available now!).

The Menocht Loop is a time loop story with a tower-climber twist. It's what you get if you splice Groundhog Day and The Matrix together.

Ian Dunai is trapped in the only maze an arch-decemancer can't escape.

Time.

Only 1% of the population is blessed with magic affinity at birth. Fewer still have high enough affinities to rule. Ian’s decemancy eclipses all, granting him ultimate control over Death. He conquers cities with a thought and turns them into ruins with a gesture. But overwhelming power isn’t enough to escape the time loop or reveal its purpose.

When Ian discovers a critical clue that he missed years ago, escape is finally at his fingertips.

Little does he know, it's only the first layer.

Hawke, having been raised from the dead, has chosen to pursue entry into the avowed service of Yawh, and prepares to present himself to the Prelate and Elders of the Sanctuary in Tyria, but his personal conduct comes under scrutiny when another officer’s dislike of him results in an outright brawl behind the soldiers’ latrines. Kaled questions his qualifications to enter the strict sect of avowed Brothers. Hawke and the officer, Lieutenant Bryce Trent, learn they are to sail together to Tyria aboard the new ship, and have to put aside their differences to accomplish their mission for the betterment of their realm.

Prince Samuel, now seven years old, finds himself longing for a companion to play with. While he and Will are on a shopping trip into the city, Samuel’s huge Greyhound companion disappears. The search for Wolf leads Samuel and Will into the poorest part of Khardan, where Samuel confronts extreme poverty for the first time. While there, he finds Wolf has found a mate in this unlikely place, and the female’s owner, Danny Sutter, tries to lay claim to the royal pet. Samuel befriends the raggedy, skinny boy, and Danny’s and his mother’s life changes forever. The real fun for the boys begins with the arrival of Elenia, princess of Medera, the royal little girl who wants to be a soldier. Together they make a forever pact, and prepare to sail with the kings to adventures in the faraway city of Tyria.

Jack Slocombe Hello all,

What if the Nordic myths of dwarves are how we remember Neanderthals? That line of thinking defines how I approach angels, genies, and the very creation of our universe and yes, also it's destruction and the fall of humanity before the flood.

I'm a writer from the UK. My book takes myths and legends and seeks to explain our shared world's myths through a lens of loose reality. It's been a labour (See, even spell words in the British way) of love and written with a working class British sensibility. Think Lord of the Rings meets Peaky Blinders!

Anyway, it's on promotion at the moment so treat yourself and take a look. Description and link below:

A fractal flower of universes blooming in the endless night, the oldest flickering in its death throes. The Raphaim, denizens of this dying universe. Refugees wandering ever diminishing corridors of warmth and light as they survive the great contraction. All hear tell of the savior, Enki. A philosopher, messiah and some say madman. Enki, he who seeks to halt and reverse this most final unconquerable of deaths. The end of a universe.

Aboard a vast listening array Enki finally hears the birth pangs of a new universe roaring into existence. The sound of creation itself, the Deiwos Etumn, the God Song. A divine vibration of nothingness, creation itself. Until, abruptly it falls silent. The secrets of its nature denied to Enki, he commits his finest minds to pursue it to its source, its origins beyond the veil of his own universe.

A universe away, a young world and its inhabitants are unaware of the forces that have sought them out. An immortal ruler and his celestial descended allies, the Elohim. A tyrannical sorcerer and the legions of Djinn bidden and bound to the will of his ring. Disenchanted conscripts and grizzled publicans. Priestesses of esoteric religions. Ghul clothed in the borrowed flesh of their victims. The greatest mind of the age scorned by his lover. Secret cults, lost loves and civilizations passed from memory and beyond legend.

All have their part to play in this grand drama, across time, across the stars, across reality itself.

Tomas Grizzly With the festive season, I decided to do a temporary Christmas discount on my debut.
What's it like? A story based on the time-tested light-vs-shadow theme and delves into the relationship between a young and promising warrior and his heroic father. It's a story where a father needs to accept that his son, in many aspects similar, chooses to tread a different path. A story where the son soon realizes that standing against an army of demons may be easier than finding himself when his own goals and desires are tested. A story of friendship, family, and hope amidst dangers.

Radovan Burhan Hello everyone,

Few days ago, I managed to overcome my doubts and especially my never-ending tendency to procrastination and published series of four very loosely connected short stories. They try to tackle some of the challenges our society is facing in the age of information and predict possible outcomes.
Three out of the four stories fall into the sci-fi genre but do not expect space opera. My area of interest is mainly possible outcomes of certain phenomena we are facing today in information era. Therefore, the first story of the series is contemporary fiction set in London where some of these things are discussed. The following stories each provide a different perspective and lay out possible outcome which may sound as sci-fi today but can theoretically be possible to happen in the near future as there is nothing fundamentally prohibiting this.
The series is available through Amazon and all the books are listed in the Kindle Unlimited program. Feel free to digest and all the best into 2022. According to my books, we’re really going to need all the luck there is. Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you.

Alex Rodriguez Hello!

My name is Alex Rodriguez, a first time self-published author. I'm looking to promote my first book Lapse. It's a YA sci fi romance novel taking a new spin on the concept of time and time travel.

Here is the synopsis:

Nora knows the rules.

Find the time marker, never reveal the secrets of the universe, don't get involved in the time marker's lives.

However, in nearly every single life cycle, they're paired together, when it comes to Mason, she breaks all the rules again and again.

She found him when he was twelve. In high school, Nora taught him his place in the universe. And their lives were thoroughly intertwined-now more than ever.

Despite her mistakes, Nora's job was easy enough, until everything took a sharp turn. Mason is angry with her, with the universe telling her who she ought to be. Nora knows her role, and what that responsibility means. She isn't about to start questioning why things are the way they are, though in her heart her efforts are beginning to unfurl a fog over her judgment.

To add to their cosmic dysfunction, Mason and Nora are only one time warp away from being discovered by time travelers, who would like nothing more than to see Mason restart a life cycle, or thrown out of time completely...

Kyle Gimpl 2101:Spark of Hope

In 2101 the world is a different place. The era of Great Global Transformation made caring for the planet the top priority.

It’s 2101, and e Great Global Transformation changed
planet earth. Women rose to occupy most leadership roles,
genetic engineering and articial intelligence transformed
society, and space travel is necessary to protect life on Earth.
e priority of global leaders to care for the planet improved
ecosystems damaged by climate change, yet population
control still looms.

Advanced Learning Algorithms embedded in the network
are central to a new way of life.
Genetic engineering has blurred boundaries between natural and synthetically produced creations.

Sex is fluid. Influence has replaced money as the key measure of worth.

An enthralling tale of love, loss, despair, resilience, and hope that explores what it means to be human and invites readers to think carefully about the consequences of decisions we make.

John Lee An idea is the ultimate example of evolution. Its survival depends on the successful mutation of many thoughts.

Evolved Thought 1.1 attempts to do more than entertain its readers. It is a hypothesis into the hive mind. The contest novel offers $10,000.00USD to whoever cracks the code embedded within.

The Sci-Fi adventure describes one possible future for humanity that is based on scientific facts occurring freely today. It is clean, fast-paced, and geared toward young adult readers intending to stretch minds not indoctrinate them. The fiction has been described as easy to read and at times irreverent by its likely biased focus groups.

The author writes to encourage discussion. The intent of this post is to offer new ideas and award a Sci-Fi GoodReads supporter the prize. The author doesn't do social media or self promote so if there is a less obnoxious method to get the word out he is all ears.

All proceeds from this work are donated to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
