The book is in my list and I can’t delete. Goodreads doesn’t allow you to delete the book out of your list. So it’s most likely that people don’t have it in their tbr because they want but maybe because like me they can’t delete 🤷🏻‍♀️

this was mostly for those who had it on their tbr with intentions of reading it, ive seen my friends posting updates abt it after the scandal bc theyre still unaware

press the book, press where it says 'want to read' and under the shelves it'll say 'remove from my books' (if it still doesnt work just remember not to read it ! lol)

R.J Lewis, the book is called 'obsessed'. obsessed is actually much longer than beverly which makes ppl wonder how it was plagiarized but laura robert stole chapters from it; people who have done side-by-side comparisons say that the similarities are astonishing, theyre carbon copies

hypocrisy probably runs in ur blood bc why tell me to use my brain if u won't use yours? how many verdicts does it take to determine whether a book was stolen or not?

it takes putting the books side by side and looking carefully at the chapters on the pages. people all over the world have done that and said that they were CARBON COPIES. perhaps your low level of comprehension only allows u to perceive this situation in a certain way, but this scandal has been ongoing and it has cost the real author a lot. she has posts about it on her instagram where she discusses the comparisons, people on tiktok have done that as well. i don't believe for a second that laura j roberts is innocent, not after that lackluster and selfish statement that she posted on her instagram as though it would eliminate the damage, and her part in it. there is literally no further proof needed like what the hell are u on about. somebody who is innocent doesn't behave like laura roberts did.

i'm embarrassing? youre the one who is raging in my comments because you can't bare the fact that she stole a book and won't own up to it. the book isn't her own, even if you enjoyed it. if she's innocent she wouldn't put up such a statement on instagram denying the situation, she wouldn't tell people "dry ur tears" when her plagiarism was brought up. u don't do that if you've done nothing wrong babes. again, i don't know why you're trying to deny this when there's proof on tiktok about it but go off, keep trying to make a pointless point.

a book can be faked, yes, but rj lewis's book is a GOODREADS BOOK that is EXISTING currently so i have no idea what you're on about, it would make no sense for her to say that it was stolen except if she had proof. which there is. literally everywhere

i never expected her to apologize—i expected her to say something rather than dodging the situation outright, i expected her to elaborate on the book and not ignore the proof circling around. she said two things in that post: the fact that her real name actually is laura j roberts, and that her deactivating was not an admission of guilt. there was literally nothibg concrete or believable about it.
like ive said three times now, there is proof (!!!!!!!!!) on tiktok about it and posts on instagram, twitter as well. yet you choose to ignore that part of the conversation...

of course she rushed to take legal action; what other way could she hide what she did? 😵‍💫 pls . it's heartbreaking because you evidently loved the book, but that doesn't make laura innocent. get ur head down from the clouds and face the brutal reality that authors stealing from other authors is not a foreign concept, and it did not start happening today.

i feel so bad for the original author. this is the worst nightmare for an author

for eli---- ummm rj whos been classy not flapping her mouth with excuses like this crazy liar and who said rj didnt take legal action? shes not running her mouth about it but she is open bout it cuz friends and i asked her directly. thats what good reader community ppl do. we come together and support not bash. been following her for yrs so discrediting her is ridic. i had this book in 2016 when it came out and was taboo as **** and compared them and it was word. for. word. whatever excuse u guys be mining just makes u look stupid. laura just mad cuz she got caught
