Ron Brown You always write detailed, interesting and honest reviews. I have Melaleuca on my to read list. In the early 1990s I lived on the mid-North Coast, of NSW, not far from the small town of Bowraville where three young Aboriginal children went missing. There has been much media coverage and accusations similar to your comments about "endemic racism, and deep corruption show themselves, even as dark and bitter truths about the town . . ." Elements of this book ring through to the Bowraville murders.

Taufiq Yves This sounds like a powerful and absolutely essential read, especially as a debut novel, Sandy.

Thank you for your kind and encouraging words, Ron. I hope you 'enjoy' Melaleuca too. I have lived in similar towns in Queensland and seen it all for myself. What the author has written certainly rings true. You have me interested in these missing children now. I'm off to fall down the rabbit hole! Thanks, Ron. 💖📚
