Great review. I’m thinking that her ex and/or the kids didn’t want to be included in the book. I’m hoping that it’s a case of respecting their wishes.

Yes, I think she was trying to protect her kids probably. I'm not sure any of those 2 exes has much to do with the kids. For sure husband #3 gave up his parental rights and husband #4 adopted her son. Then she also divorced husband #4 because he was having "affairs" with teenaged girls!
Glad you mostly enjoyed it too! I agree that it was too long, but she is a fabulous narrator so the audiobook kept my interest! Fantastic review!

Fabulous review, Tina. You and I had many of the same thoughts. As I reflect on it, Christie seems like a talking Barbie on the audiobook. It was too long and I would love to know why her first husband totally disappears from her memoir. Was he really that great?

Yes Darla! I really want to know what became of him too! I thought she would talk more about that. I think all she said was that he never went back to Paris either. I was sad for her with Olivier's death though. Most of the memoir was interesting but some of it was a little too unbelievable.

It's an interesting memoir and she comes across as a good person. I think she could have omitted some things 😉 but perhaps it's just me.

I think you will like it. You are lucky you have a print copy and can see all the beautiful pictures. I missed out on those. Happy reading!

Thanks! I'd love a Billy Joel memoir!! She touched on some things but I think she knew it really wasn't her place to tell his story. During the years with Christie you can certainly tell that a lot of the songs were inspired by her.
