Hi, I started this group on a lark to see if people would be interested in discussing books about nonduality and spiritual topics, I've been on the spiritual path many years and I'm looking forward to talking about the books that support people's deepest motivator.

HI! It is actually very nice the main and only rule on this group: BE KIND there is maybe not any other rule that need to be mentioned! :-) I honestly have to say that the book which really helped me during these 7 years has been the Course in Miracles...the one with blue cover

Hi everyone! I'm Marianna Gonzalez and am based in Monterrey Mexico. I became interested in spirituality in my late teens /early 20s. My interests since then have revolved around Mahayana Buddhism (particularly zen) and Christian mysticism. During the past couple of years a friend has been introducing me to Advaita Vedanta, which I find very interesting. Looking forward to sharing and learning more. Thank you for having me.
Hi Jon, thanks for the answer. Yes, once we open it, it comes back always... the text book is very deep too, even when I read again the same pages I opened years ago I read them in a different way with a different eye.

I read not much about Buddhism, but I like so much its idea even if I don't actually follow any religion or I don't find my self inside any ideology mark... I just felt a lot of light, or better say I had the lucky gift to taste some ray.
Welcome Marianna! I've done some Zen in the past along with Theravada Buddhism and more recently Advaita Vedanta with Gangaji and also other teachers with a nondual flavor like Byron Katie.
Hi everyone. I'm Jason, 31 years old, from Australia. I've been doing some meditation for a few years and reading some spiritual books in a few traditions (like New Age, Advaita Vedanta, and Buddhism). I'm really happy to have found this group and look forward to sharing with you all.
Thank you, Jon :)I have Byron Katie on my to-read list and look forward to reading her work.

I am anew member. I have full interests and knowledge of the enneagram. I am currently working on it. I am a type 1 and type 5. I believe it can help us to bet better of ourselves.

You might be.
In my big and small experience, I just know that I saw a lot of light after a meditation...the only thing I do not know and I do not actually cared is my level...I suppose that the light I saw during those seconds and above all I felt emotionally more that what word "extasis" could mean, it's not something we can reach because somebody say we have such level....it is not something we get, it is something we Receive. Of course after that day, my life have never been the same, ever. Everything changed, expecially my self. I hope yu can feel and see it soon
Hi, I'm Christophe, I live in Switzerland, in the French speaking part of it, in Lausanne. From my earliest childhood I have metaphysical questions. I asked questions that remained totally unanswered until my studies in mathematics and physics at university. It then became clear for me that the mind would never allow me to get the answer I was searching for. There're proofs and hints in mathematics and in physics that the full truth cannot be known through the mind (Like Gödel's incompleteness theorem or the non-linearity of time-space).
I started searching for people who had the answer, who were happy. I met interesting people like Eli Jaxon-Baer, Gangaji, Francis Lucille, Douglas Harding and many others.
And the first truly fully happy person I met was a kriya yogi who teached me meditation. This was in 1998. Since then, I'm on my path, like on rail tracks.
I'm interested in advaita vedanta for its clarity and beauty, in all saints and in how to spiritualize the world (E.g. the work of Ken Wilber).
Welcome Christophe, thank you for sharing your path. I also studied mathematics in school, I started being interested in spirituality in my 20s by a book by Raymond Moody about near death experience, I later moved on to Vipassana (Buddhist) meditation. I am now interested in the expression of nonduality by several different teacher including Byron Katie, Gail Brenner and Gangaji.
Hi Christophe, bienvenue! When somebody like you feels this passion to find out the truth always fill me up of joy. That is true: our mind can not go over some questions because it is stuck for the moment with world and body concept, anyway the truth can be revealed inside our self, it can not be understood, but just lived inside us.
Jon I read many things about Raymond Moody and expecially Elisabeth Kubler-Ross... very emotional experiences
Light bless you all
Hello. I'm Bill from NH.While I have not been actively participating in contributing content, I often check out Goodreads comments/reviews before purchasing a new/used book.
This topic, non duality, has become a main interest in my life these days. Hopefully I can be an asset to the group.
Hi Bill and welcome! Yes, I check out a book's rating on Goodreads before I get it, then after I've read it I check out the reviews.
Hello Everyone, I'm Pradip from India. Joined this community today and thought to introduce myself. I'm a seeker from the past couple of years and found myself resonating with the non-dual teachings from different enlightened sages like Ramana, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ramesh Balsekar, and many more. I've already gone through the other forum where you guys discuss the books that you are reading and I personally like it. It's really helpful for other fellow seekers like me to see the other teachings in this space. I already think I'm going to learn a lot here and enjoy my time here. Thank you.
Hello everyone, I am new here and also just finishing I Am That by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and enjoying every page of it. I have been on a spiritual quest for years and finally have found something that resonates deeply. I just bought some books by Ramana Maharshi and Ramesh Balsekar. Theravada Buddhism was my interest for a bit before I stumbled upon Nisargadatta's book.
I live in New Hampshire and took a giant step today and deactivated my account on Facebook. This is more a step in the positive direction. Looking forward to reading, discussing and uplifting interaction.

Welcome to the group, Deb. It's great that you've found teachers that speak to you so well. I followed Gangaji who's in the Ramana Maharshi lineage, I'm looking forward to your comments.
Thank you for the welcome Jon, I look forward to everyone's comments as well:)
Hi.I am Sam. I reside in Northwest England, near to Scotland, on the Solway coast. I read, write.
How we can use our language and methods of communication to convey nonduality seems quite important, especially as we strive to utilise expedient means and right thought. Attachment to concepts, to formulations of words, and also confusion arising from inexpedient use of language, are likely to arise in any case. This is an interesting problem. I welcome all thoughts.
This poem emerged in early March. I hope it is adequate, and useful as an introduction.
The coals of Buddha’s burning eyes,
seeing with the clearest view
all oceans turn to ice
and ice to fire, motion
leading between poles of difference,
fleeting and illusory
swings between the now and never
seeming both at once the same.
Abide with us in meditation.
So says her and he to no one,
silently, without recourse
to any given thing.
Assume the moving stance of clouds,
amorphous, drifting, present, formed
not merely of the earth, the sea,
the ripples of a rivers wash,
but also of the sips we take
from cups of tea, the silent breaths
which ground our restive consciousness
in all that’s fully whole and flowing.
Thanks for the poetry, it's an example of the finger pointing at the moon metaphor used in Buddhism.
Hi, I'm Leandro and I live in the Netherlands.I am very interested in Philosophy, Science, Religion, Spirituality, and Psychology, among other topics.
I have been through ups and downs for the last 5 years and after falling into a deep state of depression for a few months I decided to start a journey with a strong intention 3 years ago and the reason was to become a better version of myself. Through this time I had the opportunity to work on finance, and my body, implement new habits, learn to enjoy breath work and meditate mostly daily.
Not long ago I realized how much my soul was requiring attention and urging me to work out my spirituality.
After a strong and emotional experience while doing a regression session with a therapist where I touched unknown terrains (or perhaps those I used to ignore).
Things changed and since then I have been on a quest to become closer and closer to enlightenment, bit by bit every single day.
The last books I read in the last 2 months are related to Stoicism, Quantum Physics and the dynamics of the Ultimate Reality, Archetypes, Hermeticism and Mental Alchemy, Shadow and Mystical Christianity.
Nice to meet you!
Hey Jon, thanks for putting this group together! Hi everyone! I am an author myself and would love to share my new book with this group. It's called This Glorious Dance: Thoughts And Contemplations About Who We Are. It's a book that explores our direct experience of being through direct experience. I would be interested in sharing this book with you guys. I also have a few free promo codes for the Audible. Please let me know if you're interested.
Hello folks. I'm glad to find this group and look forward to contributing. Always happy to talk about what cannot be talked about. Currently reading Franklin Merrell-Wolff's 'Experience and Philosophy' and would highly recommend it to anyone exploring nonduality as either an idea or a reality.
Hi everyone! I’m Dr. Shaheen Shah, author of Whispers of the Eternal, a gentle reflection on Upanishadic wisdom for inner peace and self-realization. I’m here to connect with like-minded souls and to walk my greater life path by writing and sharing spiritual books that inspire stillness, reflection, and a deeper connection to the Self.

Tashi Delek :) My name is Endëon Thokme (live on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada). I work for THUS.org (Tibet House US #loveTibet: be invited) Nonduality is essential to knowing reality as it truly is. For my personal practice, Tarab-Institute.org has addressed this under their Unity in Duality program – a contemporary approach of the Indo Tibetan ancient schools of thought. Check it out although the website does not tell that much. Taking the modules go very deep. On the whole, Siddhartha Buddha's path itself was about unpacking the dualism in our perception and conception of life and non duality is the wisdom of it all, plus non-self. Love to hear what you think.
