I read over 75 comic strips a day. (I know, there's this thing called a "life", and I probably should get one...)
Thought maybe I'd share some of my favorites with you.

I think if somethings changed enough, they can't. Either way, Richards my favourite LFG character. The richard strips are by far the funniest, especially when sooba is involved too

I looked online for the official version of this one but no example was forthcoming. So, I used my imagination...

I saw some of your links to Gocomics and wanted to know what any of you fellow humorists thought of the feature WORKING DAZE. The reason I ask is I helped create it about a dozen years ago. It has had three different cartoonists pen it since it's inception, I'm happy for them but have my own opinions about it. If anyone could give me a little feedback, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks.

I had not seen that one before. I added it to my daily feed, so I'll keep an eye on it. I like the style more than the humor. It has many comments each day, so it must be pretty popular.

Hi Melki, Mike Baldwin's work has always tickled me, but this one's more a smiler rather than a guffaw. Although his characters are slightly reminiscent of Unger's 'Herman', I've always preferred the 'lumpy', edgy looking artwork, my favorites being Sam Gross, George Booth and Gary Larson. Scratchy scribbles rather than clean, flowing lines.

What's funny is that people often think that cartoonists simply scribble some quick juvenile designs and that's it, tutti-finuti! But most of us adhere to the old adage- Less is More. That 'simple' looking doodle took many drafts and erasures before getting the final inking.

I, and other cartoonists, have often heard "Oh? My three-year old is also a cartoonist!" injected while, in company, discussing careers. Then, there are the hacks, of course, that probably do have the mind of a three-year old, and it reflects in their work, but I digress...

I've always loved Booth's dogs and cats.



I can't even begin to imagine coming up with an original cartoon idea for every day of the year. Not many people can do it...particularly three-year-olds.

That's why a good writer/bad cartoonist will always trump a good cartoonist/bed wetter. Always.
