I would read your grocery list
❤️❤️❤️ thank you everybody! I’m just popping in from ‘lark benobi land’ and I saw your lovely messages!
The publishers market announcement makes Evil Genius sound quite serious and I suppose thematically that’s accurate but tbh it’s more what you might call a ‘comic novel,’ or even a ‘caper’ — to be honest I was ready to write something light-hearted and slightly ridiculous this time ;-)
Thanks for the yesses...if that word can be a plural...
Anyway. On my website I describe this next book like this:
A comic novel about a young woman who fantasizes about how she might rid herself of her abusive husband, little knowing that the universe is listening...
and although it's quite different from my last two novels, it is still a book written by me, and so naturally it features a giant animalistic chaos goddess in it, and she is no doubt kin to the Owl Lover in Chouette, and even more kin to Poor Deer in Poor Deer, and in this latest book this animalistic chaos goddess goes by the moniker "The Crab Queen..."
Yeah, crabs are a little hard to love. But I do love her.
