Saadet Ceynek Hi everyone!

I hope the new year is starting off well!

I am a Villanova Psychology Masters student working on my thesis regarding genre preference and cognition. For this I created a short and fun survey that tells you which forest creature you are while collecting data! There is no PII collected from the survey link or within the survey and I did ask for permission to post this.

Survey Link: https://villanova.az1.qualtrics.com/j...

If you take the survey and are interested in learning more I would be happy to discuss!

Allison Hurd Hi SFFBC,

This survey has been approved by the mods. The only personal information collected is your gender (optional) and confirmation that you're older than 18 for result validity. This is through a university and has ethical approval to be answered by individuals over 18.

Enjoy! I'm a shy fox :)

Kaia I am also a shy fox. 🦊

I would love to see the results of the study someday. Saadet, will your thesis be published when you are done, or will you write up the results for an article?

message 6: by Netanella (new)

Netanella This was neat. I’m a confident bunny,

message 7: by Brian (new)

Brian Terence Some weird questions, a Preachy Squirrel - I'm vaguely insulted!

message 8: by DivaDiane (new)

DivaDiane SM I’m a sleepy bat! Weird.

message 9: by DivaDiane (new)

DivaDiane SM Brian, supposedly, I dislike squirrels. But it’s not at all true!!

message 10: by Brian (new)

Brian Terence Squirrel is fine, but the preachy bit gets me. Either I'm totally not self-aware, ok I'm male, so that's a given, but still.

message 11: by Lars (new)

Lars Dradrach Preaching Squirrel, not far off actually

message 12: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I'm a Preaching Squirrel, too :)

message 13: by Brian (new)

Brian Terence It's nice to have the company; does that mean we're all nuts?

message 14: by CJ (new)

CJ I got sleepy bat as well. I indeed like sleeping.

message 15: by DivaDiane (new)

DivaDiane SM Well, I do like sleeping.

message 16: by Brian (new)

Brian Terence I did find some of the questions very odd.

message 17: by Cheryl L (last edited Jan 11, 2025 07:56AM) (new)

Cheryl L I'm a confident bunny. Interesting, since I consider myself more of a strong-willed marmot. :-)

pablo Brian wrote: "I did find some of the questions very odd."

The “open mouth kiss” threw me of balance.

I got self-actualized bear. Didn’t know I hated squirrels.

message 19: by Phil (new)

Phil I'm a Preachy Squirrel as well. Not sure what that means 😎

message 20: by Michael (new)

Michael B. Morgan I threw in the towel. I know I'm a wary wolf. :-)

message 21: by Mikael (new)

Mikael Ok, so I got Sleepy Bat. Hmm, don't know what to make of that :) Fun and weird survey though

Leonie Sleepy bat!

message 29: by P. Pherson (last edited Jan 11, 2025 11:15PM) (new)

P. Pherson Does the animal at the end even matter? The purpose was to collect the answers I think.

I was a Preachy Squirrel. I'd be interested to know what was behind the selection of that. I will say, I don't feel it really resonates with me. But...Okay...

message 34: by Richard (new)

Richard Errr…
Sleepy Bat
Well I am a night person and love sleeping but actually find squirrels quite cute, but have never met a preachy one.
Not sure my answers would be consistent if I took it several times.

message 35: by 〰️Beth〰️ (new)

〰️Beth〰️ I am a shy fox. Do you think it’s because I laughed till I cried at the dead chicken question?

message 36: by Nadine in California (last edited Jan 13, 2025 06:56PM) (new)

Nadine in California I'm a self-actualized bear. At least I wish I was! But I don't think that "I know everything" - in fact, I'd say I don't know much and seem to know less the longer I live...... I didn't hate squirrels until they ate so many of the butternut squash I grew this summer. Grrrr.

message 37: by Liane (new)

Liane Confident bunny here. That was weird but a little funny too.
