Penn has confirmed in her Discord group and on social media that the 2026 date is wrong- Google was pulling the info from Penn's German publisher who was set to publish burn in ~Germany~ in 2026

On her email newsletter this morning this was the update on Burn: Burn of the Everflame, the fourth and final book, is still in process and while there is no release date, I can say that we are trying hard to get it to you by the end of this year.
What a joke. This entire series was available in the past. Its not like its still being written. I knew it was going to hapoen after the trad publisher rereleased each book. I dont get why so many indie authors do this.

I’m ready to start the 3rd book now. Should I wait until the 4th is released?
It depends. I won’t say any spoilers but like my pre-review, there is a major cliffhanger. It’s up to you if you want to wait, but I would just reread them all when it comes out (that’s what I’m gonna do anyway)
I finished the 1st three already. Can't believe it ended the 3rd in that cliffhanger. I hope that she can use her abilities in the moment was attacked.

I honestly wish I knew, hopefully it’ll be published earlier 🤞
They’ll delay it because the new publisher probably wants to come out with their own editions of the first 3 which is soooooo annoying bc it’s just sitting there waiting for us to read it lolol
