I'm not sure if this is how I should do this, but I've always loved the cult classic series Dark Shadows, and I would LOVE to know if there were any books similar to the show? I'm not asking about books that's directly about the show, but more likely that it has the same gothic, horror, and supernatural atmosphere dynamics.
Try Ray Bardbury's From the Dust Returned. It's fun... similar to the Addams' Family and very quirky!
Shadows of the Past, book one of the Shadow Slayers series by Nellie H. Steele is similar in my opinion to Dark Shadows! I loved and thoroughly enjoyed this series!
