Gloria He really sounds like a clueless fathead. Loved your review!

Cheesecake So glad you found a story that hit the spot! (Seems like I've been reading a lot of one star reviews from you lately)

JillyB Hadley was definitely the devil’s spawn. She probably had too much of her bio dad’s nature in her and then not being nurtured by her parents probably expanded the worse parts of her personality. I am not excusing her by any means, because she was a terrible person.

Carrie Dozier Oh boy I’m on the fence here…I mean is the pain the h goes through the first half of the book worth it?? Does he really redeem himself??

Bia Great review! Idk if I would’ve taken the ml back. It sounds like he has no problem crossing boundaries n putting others before fmc.

He does redeem himself, imo. It’s an angst fest, without the usual cheating that I honestly don’t like.

Sadly he did, he was even briefly married to her when they were at college, but he realized it was a mistake because he never loved her romantically.

Thank you! It was difficult because it actually looks like he put ow before the heroine and there’s more going on. But he had a good reason and ow was a manipulative bitch. Of course I would have left him long before the heroine did. 😂

I found very sad that she never knew love from her parents and really, it would have been much better if they gave her up to adoption to people who really wanted a child to love. But what you do with your life, especially when you’re an adult, it’s up to you so she could have behaved differently.

Thank you, he made me soooo angry, and I cried through all the first part. It was worth it!

Thank you! I’m glad I found something worth reading. Lately I had some very sad choices, and I must admit they were all recommended enthusiastically which makes me think either I’m different or some readers are easy to please. This book is very angsty, one of the most angsty reading lately, but without the usual doormat heroine plus manwhore cheating hero, that is the usual cheap plot to create angst. The writer is a good one, until now. I liked all of her books.
