Maria Riegger Thanks, Ramla! I write women's fiction. First novel to be published this year about a law student who is a real cynic and who argues with everyone. Of course, she meets a fellow student who challenges her :) It's the first in a three-book series.

I'm also writing a novel about a political campaign, where two former lovers are now political opponents. That will be published in 2016.

Thanks again!

K.L. Cottrell Hiii! I'm K. L. Cottrell. I already commented in the general introduction thread, so I'll just say a little something here.

I'm currently finishing my first trilogy, which is romance/urban fantasy. I'm working on some other projects, too, and they'll also be of the romance genre.

The first two books in my trilogy can be checked out on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/K.-L.-Cottrell/...

They're also available on Smashwords and iBooks.

Have a good day!

Eleanor Elliott Hello! I'm Eleanor and I'm very excited to have joined GoodReads, and this group :-)

I'm a mum of two, I work in HR, try to swim regularly, love oil painting, have just adopted a bonkers cocker spaniel and attempt to keep everyone organised!

I enjoy reading most genres but I do love a good romance - it's the emotional journey you go on with the two main characters! I have been writing from a young age and enjoyed a novice career in university where I wrote short romances for the student mag.
I have been imagining some characters for a few years now, and finally put pen to paper (literally...I know, in the age of iPads etc!) and have fleshed out a story. Having had some feedback, the story is now being shaped into a trilogy called 'Forces of Nature'.
They are of the epic fantasy romance genre, and book 1 due to be released in December, book 2 in April 2016 and book 3 in the summer 2016.

I joined the group as being new to writing and also Goodreads, it seemed a great place to start! :-)

EE :-)

Kathy Miller Hi Romance Authors! I'm Lauren and I'm so glad to have found this group. There's nothing better than a really good romance with a happy ending. After retiring from many years of teaching, my husband and I along with my mini dachshund Bunny, moved to a mountain enclave in Georgia(lots of trees and curvy roads). I'm an avid reader of many genres and I've been writing short stories for years. I'm the recent author of The Starling Trilogy and am current working on The Girl in Black, both are young adult books. I do book reviews on my website at Word Press: http://aviewtoabook.com
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. Happy Fall, ya'll

C.S. Bower Hi, I'm Carolyn: avid reader, new writer. I love historical fiction, contemporary literature, crime drama, and cheesy romance. I live in beautiful North Vancouver, Canada where I like to eat dark salted chocolates and hide from the rain.

I've just published my debut novel Whisky in a Teacup, the story of a young widow who follows her heart into a new adventure beyond the highlands in the far North of Scotland. Writing romance is my way of living vicariously through my characters, hence the hot kilted men and barrels of whisky in my first book.

I hate people touching my throat or water when it drips down my sleeve. Chalk upsets me. If I could have one super power it would be to speak every language in the world. I believe in random acts of kindness, Pluto as a planet, the oxford comma, and the perfect cup of tea. If you do too, we'll probably get along just fine. Nice to meet you! www.csbower.com

* Edited to add an Oxford comma. #ironic *

Nicole Luckourt Hello Everyone, I'm Nicole. I've been reading romance for a while and definitely enjoy a happy ever after. Lately, I've been gravitating toward romantic suspense, paranormal romance, and contemporary romance, though I've read a lot of historical romance in the past (even beginning with Jean Plaidy's novels several decades ago :). I also enjoy other genres and just finished Gone Girl (no spoilers but this book had me reflecting on book endings) and am reading Girl on the Train now.

I recently published my debut novel, Expert Witness, A Romantic Suspense Novel and found I enjoyed writing romance as much as reading it :) http://amzn.to/2188hie

To introduce myself briefly : I'm Maylis Beaumier --sorry, this is a pen name, the only way for me to avoid any interference with my salaried job ;-))-- I'm French, 40 years old, and live in Paris with my husband and our two daughters.
I'm an avid reader of romance and historical fiction -- among other things (I also enjoy mangas, history books, fantasy...).
I enjoyed reading most of the books written by Julie Garwood, Brenda Joyce and Lindsey Johanna,...
Hope to discuss further with you guys about romances: what you like, recommend, what inspires you as a writer.

Everly Scott Hi Happily Ever After Lovers!

I'm so happy to have found this group, and I look forward to becoming an active member :).

I just published my first novel, Sugar and Other Luxuries, a steamy romantic comedy. I couldn't be more excited to finally have it out in the world.

When I'm not writing, I'm hanging out in sunny SoCal walking my dog and probably eating something sweet.

Janine Mendenhall Though I've been away from you a couple days, I'd like to thank you for the privilege of participating in this group. I've especially enjoyed our conversation on Love Triangles.

That being said, I would now like to introduce myself as the author of Starving Hearts. Starving Hearts (Triangular Trade Trilogy, #1) by Janine Mendenhall

So what does being an author mean? Well, basically, all it means is that while you're asleep at night (or reading, more likely), I'm writing and rewriting and rewriting . . . or watching historical fiction/romance films like Pride and Prejudice (either with Colin Firth or Kiera Knightley) and claiming to do research for my next book. :)

I'm also a high school English teacher/school counselor, and I'm the mother of five children, who would argue a case for calling them adults, now that they're mostly out of their teen years.

As far as my debut Christian historical fiction/romance goes . . .

Well, it's a Pride and Prejudice meets Roots with some arranged marriage spice on top type of read that honors God and keeps your interest because the hero and heroine grapple with issues of faith the same way we. (Wow! That was a mouthful.) Have a look for more specifics, if you'd like.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

And thank you for your kind welcome. You have me "for keeps," and I look forward to the day when you might consider my book as one worthy of your discussion.

Blessings,
Janine

PS If you want to begin your feast on Starving Hearts, consider reading some of my flash-fiction. (I'll be posting more soon.) It's the backstory for my first happily ever after.
