Alan (the Lone Librarian) Teder This one sounds quite disturbing Dusk, but you make it sound very intriguing nevertheless. Thanks for your review!

Rosh (will be MiA for a fortnight!) OMG, what a creepy plan! I initially thought of Zodiac (book and movie) which also has a killer using the zodiac signs, but this sounds more horrifying. I'll give this a try when I want something challenging. Adding it to my future list. Exceptional review, Dusk! ❤️

theliterateleprechaun "masterstroke of misdirection" ... now I'm intrigued! Another fantastic review, Dusk.

Barbara Fabulous review Dusk for a complex and challenging plot!

Thibault Busschots Wow, seems like this was quite a murder mystery masterpiece. While the macabre and perhaps even the characters might have something to do with its success, it seems the mystery is the main highlight in this one. Very interesting. And I do like a story that challenges you to think for yourself. Great review, Dusk. Glad you picked up a book that matches your reading tastes perfectly :)

To be fair, the only truly disturbing part is the confession in the first chapter; after that, the book settles into a more conventional crime detective narrative. Thanks a lot, Alan.

Thank you, Rosh! I’m delighted to hear that you like it! 😆 I had the same thought when I first saw the title too. The book definitely has its creepy moments, and I think you'll find it both challenging and rewarding—definitely a wild ride!

Thank you, Darla. Well, I figured out the trick since I was unlucky enough to run into the copycats before the original. 🥹 Still remember the mind-blowing feeling I had back then when I read one of those copycat books!

Thank you, Thibault! I appreciate your kind words! It was definitely a killer read, and the mystery kept me guessing the whole time, even though I had the misfortune of reading some copycat adaptations beforehand. My friend knew I was reading this and accidentally mentioned that it’s the original behind the trick!
