Hayley Stewart Hi, thanks for the invite Teneal :)

My name's Hayley, I'm 25 and live in S.E England - just me & a three legged cat :)

I'm currently working my way through a loooong list of books that I bought but never got round to reading that will, most probably, take me all the way into middle of next year (Crime & Punishment, War & Peace etc are all in there:S ) and I'm not allowed to buy/download/borrow any books until they're read :(

message 5: by Teneal (new)

Teneal Welcome Hayley! :) Hopefully some of them can make their way into the challenges/monthly reads etc in here then! :)

message 6: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Stewart Hopefully, otherwise I'm gonna end up lurking in the 'currently reading' section :S Although I'm sure I'd make a lovely lurker ;D

Wow! I am the "old lady" of this group so far.... but that is okay, because I love being 45 years old!

My name is Cecilia. I live in Northern California, and have a 13 year old daughter and a 7 year old Tibetan Terrier. I am a single mom, with a full plate, and lots of wonderful friends and family to keep me sane.

I look forward to getting to know all of you ladies, and discover many amazing books with you.

Have a wonderful evening and a wonder week ahead.

message 27: by Robin (Saturndoo) (last edited Mar 11, 2012 11:49PM) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) Hi Teneal!!! I have just been running into you in groups all over GR lol

Hello Everyone!!!

@Cecilia I am another "old lady"....I am 40 and it doesn't bother me at all : )

Some of you I have already made aquaintances with (Teneal, Jana, Cecilia) but for those of you I haven't, well here goes. My name is Robin and I live in a very small town in Nebraska. I live with my SO (Andy),my youngest son (Josh) and my two rescued furbabies (Saturn and Murphy). I am currently not working due to a fall that happened at work so I have had lots of time to read, participate in lots of reading challenges, lurk around GR, and add to my ever growing TBR mountain.

I look forward to sharing/discussing books with you all, as well as getting to know each of you. I am always looking for new books/authors to read. I hope you all have had a great weekend and an awesome week ahead.

Happy Reading!!!!

message 32: by Teneal (new)

Teneal Ohhhh haha. I'm a bit slow with the texting language sometimes haha. You'd think being a teacher I'd have it down pat haha

message 33: by Sue (new)

Sue Boreham Hi everyone, I'm Sue and live in Brisbane Australia although I spend most of my waking life in Newcastle doing leadership and communication coaching in the mines. One would think being away from home would give me lots of time to read, but just doesn't seem to happen so I am hoping to gather inspiration from all you lovely people and find my nose nestled in amongst many books.

message 36: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) Hi I'm Lauren, from the UK and from what I've just read I'm the youngest here... I'm 18 and currently finishing up studying Photography and Double Award Art, next year I plan to further my education with an arts foundation.

Other than reading I also love gaming, primarily pc at the moment but I still love all my other consoles too. I also blog. A lot. I watch too many television shows and films too.

I have a boyfriend of three years in June and we have two yellow bellied turtles - Kenpachi and Squirtle. I also have two west highland terriers - Max and Monty.

I have a ridiculous obsession with Adam Baldwin.
I think that is all.

Robin (Saturndoo) Hi Sue and Lauren!!! Welcome to the group : )

Ciska ღEstaღ wrote: "..... trundles off to Google Adam Baldwin........."

I did the same hahahah

Robin (Saturndoo) LOL Adam Baldwin was in Full Metal Jacket and Independence Day : )

message 41: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) I watched the whole of Full Metal Jacket just cause I knew he was in it with his muscley arms out and being a lot younger :3
I mean I spent most of the first half shouting at the boyfriend like "You said that he was a main character!" haha.
He turned 50 last week ;_;

message 42: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) FYI I blame Firely and Serenity.

message 43: by Cecilia (new)

Cecilia I remember when we would call any cute guy "A Baldwin"

Daniel Baldwin was on Grimm the other night. They are all still so very cute... and quirky.

message 44: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (Northern Plunder) Adam Baldwin doesn't have any siblings :)

I'm currently watching Grimm, I've seen about 7 episodes.

message 45: by Cecilia (new)

Cecilia He is still A Baldwin! very cute and quirky.

I really like Grimm. I like it better than Once upon a time. But I really like that too.

message 46: by Sue (new)

Sue Boreham Thanks Lauren, Robin and Esta. I am going to condition myself to read and post. :D

Hi all! My name is Suzanne, and I'm a 28-year-old SAHM to 2 kids, aged 4 and 5, and I live in Georgia, USA. :) Reading is my hobby and my way of relaxing.

And I love Grimm, too. :) It's one of mine and my Hubby's favorite shows. :)

message 49: by Esther (new)

Esther Yey! Welcome Suzanne. I just love the 4-5 age range, I think that was my favourite time as a mum, and its the age of children I work a lot with. Great to have you in the group! :-)

Robin (Saturndoo) Hi Suzanne!!! Welcome to the group : ) Look forward to chatting with ya and seeing what books you are reading.
