I thought the first half was SO SLOW. I loved Long Bright River too so this was a bit of letdown to me. There were some unanswered questions at the end too that bugged me. I’m with you on this!
I couldn’t agree more, Stephanie! Hopefully her next book will be more like Long Bright River.
I liked this novel, but it is my least favorite of the four novels I’ve read by Liz Moore.

I bought the audio book on Audible and I really regret using my one credit on it. I listened to a third of it and stopped, it felt like the story was not going anywhere. I thought I was the only one who did not get into this book, glad I read the comments.
