I read the first 2 chapters in the author's newsletter, and while both have Greek mythology and creatures woven into the world building, I think that the vibe, plot, and characters will be very different...

The writing style and the MC are particular, and you either love it or get annoyed by it really fast. I do hope you will love it.
She wrote another series too (Psycho Shifters) and the MC from Psycho Shifter has a similar vibe to the MC from this book.

It was so good and addictive!! I couldn't stop reading it! Imagine if Sadie attended the Academy in the author's other series, and you get a pretty good idea of the vibe of the book. 😅

Yes, there is some MM in this book. No explicit smut, except a very brief scene, but there is a MM couple and they will remain toghether in the next book too. 🙂

the part i’m so so curious about is where the repeated phrase “time warped” comes into play. i honestly hope it’s in the second book. after the titan got released on the mountain and Kharon was yelling at Alexis, he relayed to Augustus that she “disappeared” like “[he] had done”. i really want to know what this looks like from another pov in real time. this review is so good btw!!

The way I understand it, the "time warped" thing is just a way to show that she is loosing all sense of time because she is hungry and in this catatonic state... I don't think that time warps for real (but that's only my understanding of it, I might be wrong).
As for the disappearing thing, I imagine it to look like a statue (kind of). Like, she is physically there, but not responsive anymore because she's in her mind and kind of disassociated from her body...

I also loved this book! It started off feeling very much like her Cruel Shifterverse series, but that last 1/4 of the book… 😳🥰

Yes, I agree, it has a similar vibe at first. It also reminded me of Psycho Academy, but at the same time it was different and I had no idea how things would end. I loved it!!

I totally understand! I'm already excited to reread it before the 2nd one comes out, and it also made me want to reread Psycho Shifters. 😊

The series is a reverse harem, so yes it is a "why choose", but it's also a slow burn hate to love, so she doesn't want to pick any of them in this book.

Ummm so for those who have read the shifter and devils books also by Jasmine Mas … are Luka and John connected to this book? They are from the Olympus realm in the psycho gods book and they talk to Hades in Chapter 38 and mention chthonic in chapter 44. Are they connected? Just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks :)

I really don't know... I thought at first that she was planning some kind of cameo, but there is no mention of them at all in this book, so I am not sure if it's the same Olympus realm or not... They held important and powerful places in their realm, so I figured we would have had at least a mention of them in this book if it was connected...?

It's a little bit of a trashy read at times (but it the best way, like a guilty pleasure), but so good and addictive at the same time!

I think these are the twins they are mentioned towards the end at the ceremony. 🫣🤨

Great review, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought she might be neurodivergent, I wasn’t sure…such a great character either way!

It is not explicitly said that she is neurodivergent, and it can look so different from one person to another, but there are definitely some traits and behaviors that remind me of neurodivergent people I know!

She's not asexual. Asexual means you don't experience sexual attraction...she experiences sexual attraction. She write fanfiction about Carl gauss and later talks several times abt how gorgeous the men are and quite enjoys getting felt up at the ball.
