I can completely understand hating this book, considering how much I was flip flopping between hatred and having a good time, I’m surprised that I still had an okay time. Hahahahahah. nikolai needs to go to JAIL for the way his unhinged ass was acting in the first chapter (good that the narration made me like him the more i kept reading 💀) also i feel like the way all that leadup to brandon's trauma was written was super on the nose and lacked subtlety?

lol the book was so over the top esp in the second half, i'm just happy that once i suspended my disbelief and threw my rationality all the way to the pacific ocean i actually enjoyed it! (though i loved the push and pull of the first half the most, minus nikolai's first harassment chapter 🙄 )

His first POV was 🤢🤢🤢x 57283848484849, right to jail, right away, I agree!!!! I was reading it and as soon as I started that chapter, I had to swap to the audio, because otherwise I would have dnf-d!!!! The audio for me through that horrific scene ahhahaha
And brans trauma felt weird to me and the ink stuff was repetitive af and he was so very dramatic 🫠 we all have trauma, but chill. And I know we all have internal demons but he was all “I’m popular, and funny and people like me… but it’s all an act” okay bro. So deep and mysterious 😅 I didn’t vibe him hahHhahahahah
My disbelief is also in the Pacific Ocean with yours 😂 I had to throw it in for the sake of my sanity and just focus on the kissing hahahahahap

I had so many more funny criticisms but I was so tired and exhausted and I couldn’t be bothered to add to my review ahhahahahahahaha I also didn’t wanna hurt too many peoples feelings who liked this book much more than I did, but honestly, I did have a good time with this book, I just wasn’t blind to how flawed it was, which I can sometimes go delulu/blind for the right book… ahahahha I’m so glad you loved them though!! niko was a child with a new shiny toy + bran's character was just SO inconsistent I agree... his trauma was written in such a dramatic and bizarre way and his personality (or lack thereof lol) was just "I am popular and pretty but so alone, woe is me" and it got old so quick haha. I still liked this book to be fair!! It was hot when they kiss and it wasn’t too bad as a standalone (I struggle with starting at like book 5 because I like to read whole series even if it can be read as standalone ahahah I normally want all the back story and shit)
