the poll: how do you all do buddy reads?? like with online friends as on goodreads? with people you have never met? or you do it with only people you are friends with irl. a lot of my reads are buddy reads but coincidentally not with my irl friends. i just do them on goodreads with my friends here and we talk about the book almost every day we're reading it and update the page count a lot too !! hope that cleared it up <3

I read when I am online but satisfaction needed for the reading anywhere.
Pretty informal, but we pick a book and spend a month on it and comment as we go, usually on a thread somewhere. Closer to a book club format, I guess, in my case.
I’ve never done a buddy read with people i know irl. But I have with my online friends a decent bit. We just have an assigned amount of chapters to read a day (we adjust it depending on schedules or length of chapters) and then talk about those chapters.
