I'm not sure I would have chosen this one anyway, but thanks for ensuring I steer clear. I'm a big cat lover, but from your description, it sounds like I would definitely not be a big Meow lover too.

People might click buy because they are intrigued. Everything about this audiobook and ebook on Audible and Goodreads looks legit. But it isn’t. The author just says meow throughout the sample, and I assume, the 14 hours of the audiobook. I don’t think its a scam exactly, since if you click on the sample, you hear the meows spoken by the author for three minutes, but it is some sort of ridiculousness, definitely. I am wondering if Amazon even knows.

What do you think, a scam? Or some sort of theater of the absurd?

I would lean more toward theater of the absurd. A novelty item to be gifted, perhaps? It feels like another symptom of Late Stage Capitalism.

Yep. Definitely that.
Imagine my surprise since our new 7 year old male ginger is named Sam... However, he is way too easily bored either to write this or to listen to it! He'd be incensed as well at the idea of listening to another cat meowing in his territory for 14 hours.

My calico Athena thought this audiobook a poor effort, indicating it needed a good editor I think, because she clearly was bored, too like your Sam.. I thought it was far too repetitious, imho.

I did get it, my review was a satire. Sorry for the confusion.
A friend's niece gave her this book for Christmas. She's still laughing about it. Me too, and I just scanned her copy of it. And than I looked it up on Amazon, and laughed again when I saw it had 4.5 stars. Then I read your review, and deeply appreciated your well worded satirical review, and laughed again, heartily.
Then I read some comments. I might die laughing at this point. I love you all.
I can't type on my phone well. And what made me laugh on Amazon was it said I'd got 4.5 stars on GOODREADS. Laughter is precious.
