They change it to next year 😩😩😩
I just finished listening and reading to Butcher & Blackbird and is now realizing the 2nd book isn't out.... arrggghhhh!!! The audiobook for Leather & Lark better be equally as amazing, because Lucy Rivers & Joe Arden's work was chefs kiss.
Gah! I know!! I finished the first book in 2 days, then went to buy the second one only to find out it comes out in June 😭
That's what I was thinking too! I'm sure Brynne Weaver was rushed to finish, plus the weight of living up to the first book was probably daunting. I'm just bummed. Hopefully Fionn's book is better🤞
I felt exactly the same love! I am sorry you didn't enjoy this one and I agree with everything you said! I hope your next one is better beautiful!💖
This is so mediocre compared to the first one. So boring its like they would rather talk to themselves than each other
nooooo :( i absolutely loved butcher and blackbird, if they butchered (hehe) this one i'll be so sad :((((
I’m nearly done with the book and this echoed everything I just wrote down about it. I’m enjoying it but I’m enjoying it as a book from a much more serious, somber and weighty narrative perspective. It’s not light hearted jokes and suspicious ice cream ingredients. It’s serious mental health issues and heavy conversations. It definitely won’t be getting a rating reflective of B&B. Hopefully Sparrow will be better.
I am struggling to finish it. I thought it would be similar to Butcher & Blackbird but it feels like I picked up a Mills & Boon urgh
Agreed! The first book was funny, had alot of action, and their chemistry was awesome. These two were soooooooooooo boring!
The chemistry was so off for me. I mean, yes they were in a marriage of convenience after all. Their love for each other grew over time which was sort of expected but I just couldn’t get into it. I did enjoy the book but I just sort of wish they never fell in love. Just kept it strictly business to save their loved ones
I feel the same. This was rushed and inconsistent. I needed to feel hunted, not just *poof* here's the antagonist. More mystery, more anticipation.
I feel the same. I was so disappointed in this one. I loved Butcher and Blackbird and was hoping this one would be the same. So sad. Hoping the third one is much like the first.
i feel exactly like you. i felt the same way, so much so that for me this book is to be considered "passable". let's say that i understood how the two characters fell in love, but it is certain that the humor of the first book is non-existent here and this is a serious flaw. i am still undecided whether to give 3 stars or 2... i will wait
