message 4: by Mandy (new)

Mandy How will we know when it’s available on Audio???

message 5: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Me too!!! I loved butcher and blackbird

BookishAventuras I just finished listening and reading to Butcher & Blackbird and is now realizing the 2nd book isn't out.... arrggghhhh!!! The audiobook for Leather & Lark better be equally as amazing, because Lucy Rivers & Joe Arden's work was chefs kiss.

message 7: by Breah (new)

Breah Yes! Reading and listening was SO good!! Is it June yet?? I need more lol

A reading pigeon Gah! I know!! I finished the first book in 2 days, then went to buy the second one only to find out it comes out in June 😭

message 9: by Lauren (new)

Lauren I’m waiting for my book now! I’m so excited!!!

message 10: by Mel D. (new)

Mel D. That’s what she said 😆

message 11: by shreya ʚ☆ɞ (new)

shreya ʚ☆ɞ I think the fact this one was trad pub is to be blamed for what happened😑🤨

message 12: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor That's what I was thinking too! I'm sure Brynne Weaver was rushed to finish, plus the weight of living up to the first book was probably daunting. I'm just bummed. Hopefully Fionn's book is better🤞

message 13: by SK (new)

SK Am so scared to start this tbh

message 14: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Yes, all of a sudden they were super in to each other and I was like, where'd that come from haha

message 15: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor Yep. It was out of nowhere, and I was honestly shocked how fast Lachlan switched up!

Noi (in & out) Sorry this was a let down, hope the next one is better :)

message 17: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor Ahh thank you🤍

message 18: by aleksandra (new)

aleksandra I felt exactly the same ☹️ hope you enjoy the third book tho, as it looks promising!!

message 19: by annie (new)

annie lmao ikr? that one was so good and this one is soooo boring 😭

message 20: by Linz_loves_books (new)

Linz_loves_books (Semi-Hiatus) I felt exactly the same love! I am sorry you didn't enjoy this one and I agree with everything you said! I hope your next one is better beautiful!💖

☆EmilyEverAfter☆ I really enjoyed this one. I hope your next read is better ❤️‍

message 22: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor Oooh thank you🤍 Even though I didn’t love it, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

message 23: by Lori (new)

Lori Clark agreed.

message 24: by InsyVinsy (new)

InsyVinsy This is so mediocre compared to the first one. So boring its like they would rather talk to themselves than each other

message 25: by Eleanor (new)

Eleanor Oh definitely. I feel like they had no foundation to fall in love, they barely knew each other!

Milo (if lost, return to hot fictional character) nooooo :( i absolutely loved butcher and blackbird, if they butchered (hehe) this one i'll be so sad :((((

message 27: by Asuna (new)

Asuna Chidory I’m nearly done with the book and this echoed everything I just wrote down about it. I’m enjoying it but I’m enjoying it as a book from a much more serious, somber and weighty narrative perspective. It’s not light hearted jokes and suspicious ice cream ingredients. It’s serious mental health issues and heavy conversations. It definitely won’t be getting a rating reflective of B&B. Hopefully Sparrow will be better.

message 28: by Twister (new)

Twister I am struggling to finish it. I thought it would be similar to Butcher & Blackbird but it feels like I picked up a Mills & Boon urgh

message 29: by Amber (new)

Amber Agreed! The first book was funny, had alot of action, and their chemistry was awesome. These two were soooooooooooo boring!

message 30: by Leslie (new)

Leslie The chemistry was so off for me. I mean, yes they were in a marriage of convenience after all. Their love for each other grew over time which was sort of expected but I just couldn’t get into it. I did enjoy the book but I just sort of wish they never fell in love. Just kept it strictly business to save their loved ones

message 31: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Evans I feel the same. This was rushed and inconsistent. I needed to feel hunted, not just *poof* here's the antagonist. More mystery, more anticipation.

message 32: by Sara (new)

Sara I feel the same. I was so disappointed in this one. I loved Butcher and Blackbird and was hoping this one would be the same. So sad. Hoping the third one is much like the first.

message 33: by Haede-San (new)

Haede-San i feel exactly like you. i felt the same way, so much so that for me this book is to be considered "passable". let's say that i understood how the two characters fell in love, but it is certain that the humor of the first book is non-existent here and this is a serious flaw. i am still undecided whether to give 3 stars or 2... i will wait
