Girly I’m with you like FR. Rina is my number one author but let’s just say if I find out that whatever it is they said to others about being sexually experienced wasn’t a lie. I’m give this book 1 star for emotional damage. I’m going to trust Rina because I know her pattern and she never actually wrote about childhood lovers being unfaithful, but…..for now the future doesn’t seem so bright.

@ziyuan girl nobody wants a groomer lol. there's a significant age gap between eli and ava and it would have been disgusting to see an ADULT lusting after a minor. and they aren't childhood lovers. they're childhood family friends. it would have been creepy if eli would have been obsessed with ava when she was a child.

@Sonia yk I was fine with it until GOR but then it became too much - especially now that they've all finished college. I'm only gonna read this book because I've been waiting YEARS for it but istfg if I see any double standards, I'M DONE. I'm sick of this shit that RK has been pulling for far too long - I mean, her writing is really good but I'm tired of seeing the same old manhoe heroes and virgin heroines time and time again...what's wrong with writing a female main character that's experienced???

I had such high hopes for this book. God of Malice was my very first Rina Kent book and I was instantly interested in Eli and Ava when he was staring at her at the fight. And to be waiting all this time just to get this? So disappointing.

@Kristen same here. I've been waiting for EliAva's story for years especially when we've been fed this whole bullshit storyline about him being obsessed. OBSESSED? WHERE? I'm so disappointed it's actually sad.

@Allia Reads I'm not sure but I assume not based on the quote. His overall demeanor doesn't really scream "obsessed" to me - even when Ava's in her last year of college. I presume the whole supposedly obssessed phase starts when they get married maybe

@Allia Reads same girl, same🥲 Also, I hate to break it to you but there's OW drama. There are women who flirt with him and while he doesn't actively encourage them, he doesn't push them away either. I'm really dreading those scenes. But I hope you have a better reading experience than me😭

Not personally. I’m not an amateur, thank you very much. I hired aspiring actresses and invented entire scenarios to make his possible girlfriends think he’d gotten a girl or two pregnant and was siring an army of fatherless children he’d cut from his life.” Does that still mean he was sleeping around tho? I am so confused

Ohhh i just fking hate OW drama!!! And this heroine being a virgin and hero a manwhore is totally bullsht. I mean fuck this and be a little real. Also i hate jealousy trope too.. like in the beginning of the relationship it is fine (only a bit) but almost throughout the relationship is crap.

All my excitement went out of the window for this book after all these years of waiting. I’m so sick of rina recycling shit. Why would she continuously hint at something specific only to backtrack? I’m done lol.

Need someone to write a fanfic of this book with the fans expectations in my mind. This ruined my day. 💀😭

And me too...I was o looking forward to this one but it's turning out to be a disappointment😑 Some of my fave books with dual virgins are Skin of a Sinner by Avina St Graves, Morally Ambiguous by Veronica Lancet (most of her books feature dual virgins), Stalker of Mine by Jagger Cole. If I remember any more, I'll let you know🫶🏾

@Emillie Ava is a virgin. Eli thinks that Ava isn't one because he sees her flirting with other men - but she actually is. Eli has been with other women and continues to do so until him and Ava get married. Hope this helped xx

@Lia yep. I would have been fine if he was with other women before Ava was in college because according to Rina, that's when his obsession with her started. But apparently, he's had an active sex life since she enrolled in college and they both basically tried to sabotage each other's sex lives - the only difference was that Ava remained a virgin. Eli has remained celibate since they got married.

@gigi me too! it still would have been fine if ava wasn't a virgin (it was implied that she wasn't in the previous books) and if eli had actually been obsessed with her since college. but man's literally treated her like a fuck buddy for some lame ass reason and constantly made crude comments...you want me to believe that that is a romance? fuck no gross😬
