Lisa What a brilliant review! You've tempted me, though Gaddis has never appealed to me before. Satire can be hit or miss for me, so I'll have to give it some more thought.

Lisa, I am the same. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A Confederacy of Dunces did not work for me, but does for a lot of people. Both Gaddis novels works for me.

A Confederacy of Dunces didn't work for me either, so maybe we're aligned here. I will look to see if my library has a copy of this one.
