Heather-Lin I just finished it, and I'm staggered at how beautiful and heart wrenching this was.

inara I always agree with almost all of your reviews and now I’m massively intrigued. Because I love raven cycle but I don’t love the same thing you don’t love 😂 and yet I’m doing a reread of the series and I find myself intrigued by this spinoff series, especially after your review!!

ooh maybe we'll continue opinion twinning!!!

Ashley C Thank glob you liked this because I'm about to finish the Raven Cycle and if I have to depart from these characters right now. I'm going to be emotionally screwed for the foreseeable future.

Hey Emma, presumptuous question (that I may have asked you already but I was unwittingly using my ex-partners account for some time so hopefully you never got back because some weird dude was asking you): I'm a single mum/aspiring author, querying the first book in my YAish middle grade horror/fantasy series called Emma Rumble which begins with a young girl growing up in a prison/retirement home for geriatric, drama queen vampires...and I'm wondering if you'd be at all interested in reading it and giving me your reliably honest thoughts.

I'm specifically asking you because I, uh, need to make sure it's funny enough....

That's been the best thing about discovering Maggie Stiefvater, she can is really fucking funny, especially in her dialogue, in just the right places. I haven't found that done successfully done (or even attempted) very often in the YA and middle grade fantasy genre. But it's essential for me to really connect to something.

It's 32,000 words, so, not very long. I'd send you a hard copy of it made a difference. No hard feelins if not and sorry to bug ya.
