I agree with everything in your review, SL’s romance always go from 0 to 100 real fast😂 the other books have similar issues as BP but book five is my personal favorite and probably the best in the series imo, the romance is the least rushed and the mystery aspect was good. I pushed through just to get to Riona’s book but not sure how you feel about her

@Anila it took me by surprise. When I saw that the romance would be the focus, I thought it at least would have a slower build up 😂 I’m honestly curious to know more about her, she seems like a character I’d love.

I'm currently reading it and I have the same issues as you, The beginning was interesting but I hate the only smut stories and the first half was only smut and weird relationship.

Twin rating 👯‍♀️🤍 i agree with everything thing you said 😭 this was very light and fluffy compared to the dark romance books i read before 😭 and the mafia aspect i felt like it wasn’t there!! The whole book was focused about their relationship which I thought was enemies to lovers 🤡 but this was far from enemies to lovers giving that they started to fall for each other in the first 20%? And i also expected slow burn but i was so disappointed with what i got and yes the plot felt very silly and stupid 😭😭 i read the second book it’s about his little sister and it was kinda okay 🫤 im sad that this was a disappointment but at the same time im happy we agree 😭😂 beautiful review Bestie 🤍

omg I felt the EXACT same way when I read this; PREACH bestie. I felt like I blinked and they were in love and couldn’t live without each other, it felt so jarring. 🙁 i had no feelings towards them and didn’t care about where the story was going honestly. amazing and honest review, ml!! 💘

awwwww no baby i’m sorry this book didn’t really give anything😭😭i’ve been debating on whether or not i should read this but i read the sinners and saints duet? is that what is called? omg i can’t remember but it was also by sophie lark and i remember feeling the same exact way as you feel about this book. i didn’t love it or hate it. it was just kinda meh and SUPER forgettable. i hope your next read is better my angel, amazing review!<3

@Hoda I don’t even know why it’s marketed as a dark romance, it’s just a romance where the characters happen to be part of mafia families lol YES! They were enemies for a few chapters and suddenly were talking about wanting to be a team? 💀 same, when I realized it would focus on the romance, I thought it would be a slow burn but everything happened so quickly. And the ending was so rushed and I felt nothing when he told her he loved her 🥲 ahahahaha I feel so validated, I’m glad we share the same opinion 🤭 thank you ml 🥰🩷

@kendyl a friend of mine told me she’s read a few books by her and felt the same way 💀 I had low expectations, but I at least wanted to feel something while reading it. I hate it when a book gives me nothing, it feels like a waste of time 🫠 thank you my love 💕
